Its a pleasure to kill all, Metalcore will have nothing but endless pain while we thrashers are diagnosed with extreme eggression, and the posers life will be a Terrible Certainty.( All the true thrashers out their give me thumbs up if you agree and post this to every kreator video)
there will be no band that will come half of what Slayer, Kreator, Immortal, Morbid Angel, and lots of thaeir age are... no band from today will be at their might... period!
awesome thinga bout mille- he makes an insane show, but he doesn't have to do stuff like making the crowd sing shit and what not (not that there's much wrong with that, but it's more hardcore if you don't) they either already sing by themselves or mille just scares them to death anyway. in this vid he makes the crowd scream, it's the only time during the concert. now go compare to metallica vids...
@TheSocietyDweller yeah man, fucking awesome man! evile wondered on one of their dvd's whether they'd ever feel guilty because people get broken bones during their concerts n shit... never! :P the feeling of playing to people is always a blast, but crowd response like this gotta be the shit.
I think Mille's vocals sound awesome, simply because he sounds like he actually means every word and that's impressive when you know the lyrics. He sounds like he's in it for more than the showbiz and that passion can be scary (uplifting to me) when taken to an extreme.
@alleygh0st yeah, sure is, but y'know- you start meaning every word when you're singing to 80 000 people, or at least, mille does! he explained it once, the more the crowd riles him, the more he can get into his music! he just channels his and the crowds energy right. still an art though, i mean, he's a fuckin' demon O.o indeed uplifting
modern metal will never have the pure and raw unfilter power of the mid 80's thrash. I don't care how much like cookie monster you sing like, or how many BPM's the drums are... they just don't have the purity of this stuff... think of Slayer "Reign in Blood" or Exodus... Kreator... old Overkill... they played with such raw power... you wanna go out and kill someone after you hear mid 80's thrash. You wanna kill yourself after listening to the new crap.
oh there is and will be, my band is now writing stuff and we will definitely not be a new school thing. tho finding a cool crowd for the show is a pain in the ass...most of the thrashers I know are like 30 or 40..
i completely agree but i like some new thrash like municipal waste, evile and warbringer and my band is doing our best to bring back the brutallity of thrash metal
@ProfessorIgor Maybe in your own mind perhaps. It's the same shit dude... tastes have just changed and it happened in musicians before it happened for the fans. Plenty of current metal is pure and unadulterated just like the classics... and it's the same unbridled energy that made us all fall in love with extreme music in the first place. The reason you got so many thumbs up is that many people like yourself are stuck in the past.
@ProfessorIgor If you can listen to the Hate Eternal song "Powers That Be" and tell me that the trio that recorded/championed that song is lifeless... it's only because it doesnt suit your tastes. I'm not saying plenty of death metal isnt lame... But that doesnt mean it all is. It's your fault for not knowing whats good or not understanding the new styles. To make broad generalizations like that about any style of music is ridiculous.
@ThaDeeStylee to me, and this is MY opinion, when I hear modern death metal, or this nu-metal, it seems that they wre just trying too hard to have "the metal sound" Kreator, Slayer, Exodus... they don't have to try, they invented it, THIS song is as basic and fundamental as thrash gets. It's the purity of the 80's metal that I feel can never be duplicated. The Stray Cats sing rockabilly, but is it the same as the rock and roll from the 50's ??? you gwt my point, right ?
@ProfessorIgor "Nu-metal" along with "deathcore" are both mostly corporate money-making concoctions which should not usually be associated with honest music... and there hasn't been one particular "metal sound" since the heavy metal era. Have you heard the last two Kreator albums? Theyre very modern and still have the same soul. Have you heard early Death or the first Morbid Angel album?
@ProfessorIgor Death metal started out not much different than thrash, it just went in a different direction. The only reason you feel like the musicians may be trying to hard is because you havent followed dm the way you've followed thrash, and you're hearing it differently than people who have. I just think you should be more open minded and do more research if you're gonna have any opinion.
@ThaDeeStylee.. I have "Scream Bloody Gore" by Death in my collection. Chucks band was original and powerful, again, they were pioneers in the genre, but I just could never get past the "cookie monster" dialogue in death metal. Death metal does have some of the greatest riffs you will ever hear in all of metal though !!! Celtic Frost seemed to have it's darkness, but they were to avant guarde to be considered "death metal"...
@ProfessorIgor Well right on. The 'death-growl' vocal styling is definitely an acquired taste. But hey man I didn't enjoy it at first either. At some point after hearing cookie monster as your singer you even understand what the guys are saying half of the time. Its awesome when the cadence is good. If you wanna dive into death metal at some point and get it for what it's worth, listen through Death and Morbid Angel's albums... and then check out Suffocation's first two albums.
Mille will never be able to sound like he did on Terrible Certainty. That chorus was probably the best vocals I've ever heard him do. So much aggression. It's a shame that for how awesome they are now it's 100% different from what made them awesome in the 80s.
Its 5150 there probably and emg pickups... they were used on enemy of god. And maybe some dual rectifiers which were used on violent revolution/coma of souls.
PURE, UNADULTERATED, THRASH !!! for those that didn't live it in the `80's like me, kids ?? this is IT !! A pure and raw as it gets... Kreator are one of the pioneers... Danke !

Giesler is so metal, headbanging through the whole song.

Mille has got a kick-ass 'thrash-voice'.
And I wouldn't say Sirniö is a bad guitarist if you know what I mean ;)
