All politicians seem to lie. The only difference between dems and repubs is that when a Democrat lies, it seems to hurt himself. But when a Republican lies, it hurts the rest of us. People who are calling him pervert and a liar and saying he should resign reflect where most of Americans' priorities are: down the toilet. I say we get over it. @TentillTen You're off on the difference between Democrats and Republicans. When a Democrat has a scandal the party rallies to their side, regardless of the truth. When a Republican has a scandal the party dumps them overboard. You should say "good for him not resigning TODAY." He will go when he becomes a liability to the party, which is important above all. You may not have a problem with politicians who lie to their constituents to protect their own political power, but most people do.

No actually, I don't believe I am off at all. In fact, I agree with you 110%. Democrats rally to each other side on the basis that their "scandal" does not reflect their ability to govern. While on the other hand Republicans ostracize each other when things go bad because people begin to realize the repercussions of their lies. I am not saying I don't have a problem with politicians who lie to their constituents for any reason. But rather one may affect me, while the other doesn't

and obviously, this lie, about "sexting", if you will, isn't relevant to me, or to you, or to anyone. It's just a high-profile scandal. I will admit though, it's funnier when it happens to a Republican, only because they tend to be elected on the basis of family values, and christian morals. Not all, but certainly more than Dems.
