    Except for say Bill O'Reilly;Pat Robertson;Sean Hannity;

    Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter!!

  • Not to mention Billy Vaughan.

  • Bert would be so proud to hear kids playing his music!

That's all he said he ever wanted, was for people to

enjoy his music, and I certainly enjoyed this!

  • i never get tired of this video, it is excellent in every possible way,

thank you so much to maquoketastudios for showing this wonderful band playing a swinging safari, its my favorite, and this is my very first thing i ever saw on youtube about 3 years ago when i first got the internet,

  • думаю неплохо учитивая всю сложность работи

  • This is the kind of stuff schools are cutting and it makes me sick. I am 60 and my kids are richer for these experiences. NICE going dudes!

  • sounds like high school band. at least they're keeping busy with a good clean hobby.

  • its all there just a bit of fine tuning required.

  • Way to play Bert! Thanks for the show.

  • brave kids. poor safari animals...

  • those girls are brave, this song caused me panic when I was their age or less

  • this was so long a go everyone in my class looks so different go trumpets :)

  • My school orchestra plays it 5 times better!

  • For a middle school band, nice job. I remember my middle school days and we didn't play fun music like Bert Kaemphert!

  • The ability to make music swing does not come without practice. I think these kids did a great job, and obviously enjoy this song wheich my jr. high band played a couple of years after it came out...so long ago. WE were Not this good.

  • thanks maquoketa studios for makeing this video and posting it on youtube,

  • Awesome! Well-done, kids (and I do remember this song)

  • @sparwood8 The Match Game is a Mark Goodson Bill Todman Production.

  • @Hailey, that is...

  • What a nice job by this bunch of middle school kids. You represent the fine small mid-west city of Maquoketa very well.

Also thanks to Kevin and Nick at Maquoketa Studios. I am formerly from Jones Co. but now from WA state.

  • Que lindo tributo a Bert kaempfert

Esas bellas melodias deberian perdurar para las siguientes generaciones.

  • Awesome! Truly great.

  • MR. KAHN!!!

  • Well they sound kind of good compared to many other middle school bands!

Here in Sweden we are struggeling to keep our windband "activity" going, so i would like to strongly encourge everyone who is young and playing an wind instrument to keep playing! It will be useful in the future!

    /SwedishSongArchive

  • they are children you jerk

  • They are kids and workin hard!! Sounds pretty good to me but you on the otherhand would not be able to do anywhere near as good [thats assuming yu would even try!!

  • Great choice of a song--and a really good job playing it!

  • How wonderful, these kids playing Bert Kaempfert. Great music is truly timeless. THANK YOU for sharing with us.

  • WOW some of these guys are feeling the music! I hope they enjoy Bert Kaempfert's music as much as I have for the past 40 or more years.

  • I grew up in Clinton, Iowa. It is nice to see something from back in Iowa. Class of 65 CHS.

  • ps sta chida la rola, m gusta mas la version original, pero ps tokn chido, veo un comentarioo d un wey q dice q su escuela toca mejor, jejejjee pobre wey, espero ver pronto un video de su escuela para jusgar :D

  • not very good, but look at the other side: they are kids!

  • respect for the kids, an old hit from the 60 ss played by the youth of today, big up.....

OK it is not very good play but the efford is in and thats what counts!! whe cant all be great musisians (like i am a bad one ;-) )

  • Thanks guys, that was brilliant!! You must have all worked so hard to get that together so nicely. It was beautiful. A very underrated piece from Bert Kaempfert, and it's good to see it being played. Cheers!!

  • I too played this in band in the 70s...Bravo!

  • I think the kids gave it a great try and should be proud of themselves. Also, their teacher (conductor) should be applauded.

  • Not bad for 12- and 13- yo's. Nice to see Bert Kaempfert's music appreciated by the young generation.

  • @16Lizards

I second that emtion! Pretty good, in light of their ages & abilities. And it really is quite groovy to see the marvelous music of Kool Mr K appreciate by members of the young generation!!!

  • i liked the last minute fo sho!!

  • My sister was in that band and they did AMAZING

  • Zo vals een kraai.

    You suck.

  • hater go suck ass.

  • It was not that good..

My school band plays much better..

    Btw. I'm norwegian ;)

  • You kids are GREAT. I posted this vid on our forum tonight for everyone to watch. WELL DONE.

  • @WorldTeachers

eeek my ears! US-American kids love music, but the music doesn't love them.

  • Let's hear it for the LEADER OF THE BAND! Your students did a marvellous job. And you have gained IMMORTALITY for yourself in their musical minds. Come 5-10-15-30 years hence your name will still be on the tip of their tongues. What did Wm Shk say "If music be the food of love ~~ play on. Or was that BERT KAEMPFERT? ... OUTSTANDING POST MATE!

  • Wow, these kids were awesome! Having bursted with Pride through 3 children and 7 Grandchildren at the attempts by them and their classmates to Entertain and Amaze us at concerts and plays, I salute everyone in this video! As a lover of Bert Kaempfert's music since I was their age, I cheer their performance even more!

  • I'm sure the band did it's best. But, it's the band leaders fault that some of you're out of tune. My 13 year old nephew plays trumpet in his middle school band, and their band instructor has their band in tune. That's part of his job in teaching you! Other then that, it's not too bad! (I'm a professional musician!)

  • i'm sorry but some of you guys don't realize that we were in seventh and eigth grade when we played this song. our band director decided to give it to us like a week before the concert and so i think we did pretty good!

  • You guys did great. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • Some don't follow the rhythm..

The trumpet solo is too quiet

    Too many pozan:)

Sorry if I say this but it's only a 3star rating.

  • maybe next he can have them play the second password theme.......jazzy version

  • Yep, I agree! Def more bass drum needed for that extra kick. Apart from this its a good performance - KEEP IT UP

  • cool teacher to try this one. Bert rules. u kids did well!

  • not good. there should br more beat. shme because this is one of my favs. pick a different song.

  • Not good? What is not good is your spelling, punctuation, capitalization of certain words and taste in music. Remember; these are 12 and 13 year olds. Not the Philharmonic Orchestra!

  • You should be ashamed of yourself posting a comment like this. These kids did GREAT with a song by one of the all time great big band arrangers and composers. You should be way more encouraging.

  • Great job! Bert Kaempfert would be proud.

  • i'm in that band and the flutes were awsome (i'm one of them) we totaly ROCK

  • I played the euphonium solo in this song ^_^

  • You guys sound great. Don't let anyone tell you different. Great job everyone!

  • Belediging voor Bert Kaempfert

  • Hermosas señoritas haciendo bella música.

  • Best version of swingin' sarfari I've ever heard , how can I get this as my ringtone , or MP3 ????

  • You cant give us crap we learned this in 5 days! And Maquoketa got the award for best music in Iowa. We all no we did good and the flutes sound AWESOME!!!!

  • yo im in that to

  • Rubbish. I was in a wind band and we played this every Tuesday, and we were way better. Flute section is a total mess.

  • im in that band to lol

  • o man.. thats hilaious.. even tho i live in that town.

  • I play in a Hungarian band and we play that too:) I love it.

  • I'm in that band, litterally
