The universe is so amazing yet people are addicted to religion, MTV and money.

I wish I could take the part which cares about society away from myself, but I am human. Amazing pieces of footage which show earth in its beauty, what a boost for the day in our amazing but unimportant existance.

Ever seen ants go to war with each other? Pandas eating their young? Wolves scapegoating the runts of the pack? Monkeys tearing each other's babies apart? Walruses raping their children? Lions eating their rivals' cubs?

I mean, I guess you could argue that at least they don't have chemical warfare/bombs/discrimination, but... meh, I don't know, I don't think humans are any worse or better than other animals.

yeah its kind of expesive..tho theres something like 6 dvd's and they worked on this for years. it can't be cheap or easy to get all their equipment to remote areas of the earth.

The British version is also the better of the versions- apparently the american narrator isn't that great and the commentary is a bit dumbed down from what I hear over the net. Then again they have D. Attenborough on the British one... Hard to compete with him! :D
