they owned miley cyrus. i bet her even saying she liked them was a gimmick in the fist place, trying to win over the radiohead fans.(the intelligible people)
@Sonyphilia It means you can interpret music like this however you want. You don't have to follow what it is, or could be about. What do the lyrics mean to you, personally? That's why the kind of music that Radiohead makes is so much better than commercial music.
I love this song, but this version doesn't quite do it justice i think- it is played too fast and you can't quite hear the electronics like you can in other versions. Still a good version though, and a brilliant tune in general.
I didnt realy like that performance... It didnt hold the same depth then the c.d did, I cant discribe it... Its just not the same, good in its own respects i guess.
Yep ! The tempo is nearly always too fast when they perform it live ! I remember when i saw them in Paris in 1997, it was the only time i heard this one performed at the good tempo in live...
I had experienced this a few years ago and must admit it's really hard to hear the click... Every other sounds merge upon the click and turn it to inaudible sound...
@elusivegemini No its not, its about "The monster in the closet"

lock the kids up safe tonight...Do not cry out or ring the alarm...
serial killer sounds about right

Thom was inspired to write this song by a article in the paper about serial killers, and his experience in working in a morgue in a hospital.

or is it that I listened to the Easy All Stars reggae version too many times?
pablodmdp 3 years ago
I'd say it's that you listened to the Easy Star version, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that; their version kicks ass.

they do that to almost all of their tracks live. i guess its for the energetic effect.
LfunkeyA 4 years ago
It's pretty hard to play a song at the proper tempo when you play live and are excited by the crowd's vibes ! ;-)
