  • 31 people didn't have a merry unbirthday today. or for the rest of the 364 days of unbirthdays. A shame, really!

  • "You're absolutely Alice I'd know you anywhere. I'D KNOW HIM ANYWHERE!!!"

  • Johnny Depp is so interesting as the Madhatter! At moment's such vulnerable humanity, and then glimpse's of a complete psychotic!

  • I do not like Johnny Depp so much. But Mad Hatter is so wonderful. I find many in coment tings betwean me and Te hadhatter . Perhaps there because I liked him with the same.

Many in coment things and it scares me !! :S

    love this movie <3

  • @HatterOfUnderlandx "Have you guessed the riddle yet?" the Hatter said, turning to Alice again. "No, I give it up," Alice replied. "What's the answer?" "I haven't the slightest idea," said the Hatter. "Nor I," said the March Hare. Alice sighed wearily. "I think you might do something better with the time," she said, "than wasting it in asking riddles that have no answers."

  • Now THIS is a Tea Party I can relate to...

  • have u any idea why a raven is like a writing desk? ugh no...

  • "I'D KNOW HIM ANYWHERE!"

  • YOU'RE ALL LATE FOR TEA!

  • before I saw this movie I would have never agreed that any clown type creature could be attractive. needless to say, that has changed.

  • I wish I could have her dress in this scene

  • Contributing the 27th dislike.

  • have u any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?

  • I loved this movie very much. I always enjoy Tim Burton's movies. His touch in film making is just...magnificently abnormal lol.

  • thought the movie was ok. i expected more. the 1951 version well always be mah fav

  • Martin short & Depp made two different Mad hatter

I love Martin as hatter better

But JD is my all time favorite!

  • They are missing Michelle Bachman.

  • '' Your absolutely Alice, I'd know you anywhere. I'd know him anywhere! '' xDDDDDDDDD

  • what a horrible mad hatter martin short is better

  • its always funny for me when someone asks why people who used to wear top hats (like the mad hatter) tend to be mad

  • @shonenjump18

Isn't it because of the mercury in the hats actually made people mad? :D

  • @abyssus99 It was and a majority of Hatter ended up dead.

  • @BlairLaurel nah...i don't think so...i think that the movie is not as unreal as alice in wonderland is supposed to be since all those charakters are played by humans in the 1999-version. Like the cheshire cat, it's played by whoopy goldberg (!) and that's just awful...

  • I love!! Mad Hatter - Johnny Depp :)

  • 0:21... I'd know HIM anywhere?

  • MAD HATTER!!!! lolz

  • Depp was disappointing in this picture. The Mad Hatter was charmless and unmemorable. The entire film was, actually.

  • I love how he's completely oblivious to Alice's confusion!

"You're absolutley Alice I'd know you anywhere! *turns to March Hare* I'd know him anywhere!"

This is the reason that I love Johnny Depp! <3

  • Did they intentionally make the hatter look just like Madonna?

  • Why Is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?

Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!

  • @nanimonoka69 At the end his says he doesn't know and a lol'd so hard!!

  • You're terribly late you know, Naughty!

  • Why Is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?

    1.Because They Both Have Quills.

2.Because they both come with inky quills.

  • because they both produce notes but they allways come out flat

  • hows a raven like a writing desk again?

  • Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter = WIN! XD

  • Cheshire Cat:"like someone from the opposite was unfriendly and clawed"

  • id know him anywhere!!

  • @NarutoFreak157 or: "Because both come with inky quills."

  • Everyday I recite the Mad Hatter's lines from this scene lol

  • @NarutoFreak157 That is indeed what riddle experts concluded =) and a clever answer it is ^-^

  • me and my sister think that the hair and hatter our crazy

  • @Discoduckaroo Well they aren't Crazy my Dear, They're Mad

  • i love this movie :D and i love Depp ! <3

  • Because there's a b in both and an n in neither.

  • naughty (and lefts a finger)

oh he has a killer voice

  • Well, well, well... We have Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann here!

  • You're terribly late you know naughty he sounds just like jack sparrow when he says that :D

  • @NarutoFreak157 another answers is that they both have inky quills

  • You're terribly late you know, Naughty. Ah, I love that line!

  • This part never fails to make me laugh hysterically. The sad part is, it isn't even all that funny.

  • great movie,, but the first one was tremendoussssly GREAT

  • Where's sarah palin?

  • it's the wrrrrrrrrrrong alice????

  • I love the Hare.. <3 "Spoon..!"

  • lol i'd know "him" anywhere

  • your absoloutly alice id know you anywhere ID NO HIM ANYWHERE

  • @NarutoFreak157 The accepted anser is your suggestion....however...a Raven quill was used inn a writing desk when the story was penned. I do believe that this is the proper answer. Also this is a Story of the aristocracy. and only the rich could affor good quills and more importantly...a writing desk

  • Is It the Wrong Alice??? ahah! Love that mad rabbit.

  • @NarutoFreak157

Carrol himself once wrote "They can produce a few notes, theogh they are VERY flat, and they are nevar placed with the wrong end facing forward", though I'm quite partial towards, "There's a 'B' in both and an 'N' in niether". Notice what happens when you reverse the word "nevar", Lewis was quite fond of backwardsness.

  • Actually, the real answer to "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?" Is because they both have "inky quills" resting upon them.

  • 20 people werent invited to a tea party.

  • Your terribly late you know...Naughty!!! lol

  • hm... it skipped quite a few parts. still good though :3

  • I'd know him anywhere!

  • 1999's version is WAY better.

  • I've r4ead the book twice, and it never said why a raven is like a writing desk!!! I mean, the question was there but there was never an answer!!! D:

  • no lie tho johnny depp looks a little lke elijah wood in this movie

  • This is my favorite part LOL

  • They both bear ill bills.

  • @NarutoFreak157 another answer is cuz theyr both full of feathers(considering how ppl wrote with feathers before they invented the pen)

  • i know him anywhere

  • I'd know him anywhere! Him?

  • @NarutoFreak157 That's my favorite answer, too!

  • I absolutely love the Hare in this movie :D

  • Why is a raven like a writting desk? Lewis Carrol did think of an answer for that, and here it is: "Because it can produce a few notes, though they are VERY flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!" This, however, is merly an afterthought, and when he first wrote it the riddle had no real answer.

  • @megadork456 what about "Poe wrote on both" because Edgar Alan Poe wrote on (about) a Raven on a writing desk....it's another answer I found lurking behind the internet's metaphorical sofa

  • @megadork456 The original script was "...nevar put with the wrong end in front" nevar being raven spelled backwards but people simply thought it was a mistake on his part and changed nevar to never.

  • "I'd know him anywhere!" :D

  • Your absolutely Alice; I know you anywhere... I know him anywhere!

    Best part of the movie.

  • Johnny Depp is PERFECT as the mad hatter!!!!!!!!!!

  • :O spoooon

  • Chesire Cat & Mad Hatter = My ♥'s :)

  • This movie would have been very, very good, if Tim Burton hadn't added the whole "Slaying the Monster" thing, and had kept to the original story. As it is, by itself, it was a good movie, but as for adaptations of the book, I enjoyed the Disney Version from 1951 much, much more.

  • HOW CAN I GET MY DOG FROM MAD TO GOOD?

  • do you hav any idea.... ¿why a raven is like a writing desk?

  • i know why a raven is like a writing desk. two ansowers with one?

  • @lvartist1 Haha Edgar Allen Poe wrote on both of them.

  • I LOVE THE MAD HATTER AND THE BUNNY!

  • "of corse your the right Alice id know you any where.... id know him any where!"

  • Psh! He just walks Alll on the table... I would be.. Ok LOOK boy. You need to go somewhere with yo crazy self!

  • YOUR LATE FOR TEA!

  • -Naughty

XD Awwww, i just love the way he says it XD

  • MARCH HARE : YOU'RE LATE FOR TEA!!!LOL!!!

  • The Answer Is: None Of Them Can Row A Boat.

  • The answer to the riddle: They both produce flat notes.

  • Seriously, why is a raven like a writing desk?

  • @kelly19091 There is no real answer, but what i like is:

Because Edgar Allan Poe wrote on both

    :3

  • mad hatter = <3

  • Red Queen sent 16 of her army to dislike this video.

  • @QueenLuver123 lol win :3

  • MAD HATTER <3

  • my favorite part of the whole movie

  • The march hare made my hysterically laugh every single time he was on screen!

  • have you any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?

  • @SailorKrazy originally that riddle had no answer. it was meant to be stupid and crazy. :)

  • i love the march hare. what i would give for him to throw a tea cup at me.

  • I know why a raven is like a writing desk....

  • the march hare is awsome lol.........spoon

  • I didn't know the mad hatter was ginger.

  • do u know why a raven is like a writing desk?

  • @Sepheria3 they both produce notes...

  • @Sepheria3 there's a B in both and an N in neither

  • IT THE WRONG ALICE?!!?!?!?!?! LOLOLOL! i love the march hare.

  • March Hare: "...SPOON"

  • @yoodledoodle14 HAHAHA THAT BIT MADE ME LAUGH SO MUCH!

  • know anyone out there which song is it in the Trailer when this scene comes ?

sry for my baaaaad english xDD.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Johnny Depp, and Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters he has done(:

  • the mad hatter just rox!

  • ther's only one thing about the mad hatter I think they should've done differently, in the cartoon he's the same size a the march hare, I think they should've animated depp's body the same way they did with the queen's head, only leave his head the same size and use the march hare's body as a refrence point, except without the tail, or paws, hell they could' ve even made the march hare's body a tiny bit bigger, but I wouldn't change anything else, the march hare's hilarious

  • March Hare! I love it and of course Paul Whitehouse.

One of my favourite scenes ever ´cause of Johnny, Paul and Stephen Fry.

  • they are like my family!!

  • "I'd know HIM anywhere." It just adds to the comedy of it. My wife and stepson repeat "cup", "spoon" all the time, while I'm reciting Cheshire's lines, "All this talk of slaying and blood, has put me off my ...tea."

  • @littlehellion123

So did she, rember in the beginning when she was arguing with the white rabbit that she was the wrong Alice? and the catipiller knew she was the right alice but she just "lost her muchness"

  • @littlehellion123

But so did she remeber in the beginning she was arguing with the white rabbit that she was the wrong Alice?

  • love the dress!!!

  • i like how the hatter is like a mix of Willy Wonka and CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow

  • i like when the knave is investigating them, and the dormouse says to the hare," please pass the scones!" and the march hare takes the plate and throws the scones at her

  • "Cup!"

    "Spoon!"

  • @hiedgar

I think because she doesn't look like her and doesn't act like how she did when she was little

  • @theprincessactress

i thought it was because Absolem said she wasn't Alice.

  • I love Tim burtons movies

  • I like the Mad Hatter's character in this adaptaion. He so mad he's bipolar & only Alice seems to give him temporary lapses of sanity.

  • Why doesn't the doormouse believe that it's the real Alice?

  • "I'd know HIM anywhere!" XD

  • UR LATE FER TEAA!!!!!

  • Dude why do all of you guys love Johnny depp, Johnny depp sucks he's a horibble acter he should just stop starring in movies because he makes me sick :(((((;

    Jk hahaha

Love him he's my favorite acter

  • "your absolutely alice. i'd know you anywhere. I'D KNOW HIM ANYWHERE!"

  • @SodapopXxGirl soooo agree

  • In both this one and the animated film the tea party was my favorite part.

  • I LOVE HOW HE WALKS IN TOP OF THE TABLE I LOVE JHONNY DEPP!!!!!

  • @19ejandra90 i love it when he says "I'D KNOW HIM ANYWHERE!"

  • I wish I could've got an invatation to that tea party....

  • @123pinky799 seriously me too haha

  • he reminds me a lot of jack sparrow

  • @renesmeerules I can't imagine why...

  • I'd know him anywhere!

  • This isn't actually Alice in Wonderland. It's the sequel, "Beyond the looking glass" But people most likely wouldn't know about that, so they named it Alice in Wonderland. A good movie, i must say, just a little bit of information for you all.

  • @narutofreaktenten YUP!! I read it!!! :OO The White Queen and The White King are there!! :D

  • @narutofreaktenten "the more you know"

  • @narutofreaktenten

That's actually kinda neat. I never knew Alice in Wonderland had a sequel.

    :3 Thanks for the tid-bit.

  • @narutofreaktenten actually, this isnt "beyond the looking glass" either. it is its own story, but it has refrences to both "alice in wonderland" and "beyond the looking glass" like the tea party is obviously from "alice in wonderland" and the chess board that she fights the jabberwocky on is a reference to the way the country side was divided up into little squares like a chess board from "beyond the looking glass"

  • @narutofreaktenten actually, this isnt "beyond the looking glass" either. it is its own story with references from both "alice in wonderland" and "beyond the looking glass".

  • This is the best tea party ever.

  • i agree with oogie boogie SPOON haha I love the march hare!

  • The Mad Hatter and the March Hare are the best characters in the movie!

  • Poe wrote on both of them...

  • @abbytherat if you think about it you realize that is not the answer as the raven was published after alice in wonderland. also carroll later invented an answer to this riddle (which he made up himself) and it was this: Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front.

  • I love it how Mad Hatter is happy then weird then mad.......I love it when he calls her naughty....:)

  • After he wrote the book, Lewis Carrol DID come up with an answer to his famous riddle, "They can both produce a few notes, thogh they are VERY flat, and they are never put with either end facing the wrong direction". Though it is, as he said, supposed to be an answerles riddle, people come up with fun new answers all the time.

  • lol "i'd know him anywhere!" xD

  • Mad Hatter: I'd know him anywhere

    Everyone else: Hahahahaha

    me: nice one hatter.

  • This was good, but I love the original tea party better,

  • The hatter's eyes point in different directions lol :P

  • I love the March Hare!

  • I ONLY WISH ALICE IN WONDERLAND WAS REAL AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IS NOT TRUE IN THE REAL WORLD !!!!!!

  • @AkuJeedo me 2

  • god johnny depp is so talented! its not fair

  • Johnny Depp :D <3

  • i love that rabite

  • I heard this movie was horrible... so sorry... why do they always ruin good stories... a dud... and more.... weeping now....

  • Ah, I love Mad Hatter. ;**

    Of course, the best Johnny!

  • Tim Burton mad the right choice in casting Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. This movie was absolutely amazing.

  • this is not how the story was told.

  • @blackactionfaction It's a different version of Alice.

  • @blackactionfaction it was was in his vison (DENSE)

  • this was awesome in 3D

  • Things that begin with the letter M:

    1. Marvolous

    2. MarrytheMadHatter

    3. Mysterious

  • so cute
