Thank you for this! I went to a doctor and a therapist helped me with some stretches that really helped ease the pain...I guess stretching is really the best way
BIG THANK U!! I was in BAD pain--first day i tried this it made a difference. I have worked at the front desk of a hotel in las vegas for years and thanks to u i will be able to continue to keep working. thanks again- ttaylor48
It's also important to remember that the fascia of the underside of the foot is continuous, to some extent, with the achilles tendon. So calf stretches can be beneficial to some individuals where myofascial tightness and strain is the cause of pain.
Ive found a way to relieve this quick and easy. pull ur shoulders downwards to your side on the side where ur foot hurts. pull it down as far as u can even doing a bit of bouncing motion. voila ! its relieves the pain instantly. then u do that on the other side of ur body too . i think this has to do with the body allignment that is messed up by........masturbation.
I got pf 2 or 3 years ago. I massaged my foot (before I knew I had pf) and I couldn't walk for 2 days it was so terribly painful. I know I must've massaged wrong, but I'm scared to massage again for fear of not being able to walk from the pain. Mine cleared up pretty well, and if I wear good shoes I'm fine.
Can u please help me the pain is going nowhere and it's been 3 months spent already too much on orthotics and massages. Can u please tell me what you did exactly. I'll be greatfull. Thanks in advance.
GOT to share this with everybody. My plantars fasciitis was so bad. I cannot have surgery or get shots due to a chronic illness. Recently, I was in Walmart and noticed that their Danskin toning sneakers were on sale for $25. Very ugly but I decided to try them out...... Wish I would have bought 100 prs. because these shoes made my plantars fasciitis go on vacation. Went back to Walmart and they had sold out. Found some on ebay for $38 and did not hesitate to buy. Just wanted to share this.
I tore something in my foot like 1.5 years ago while jogging. I should have taken it slower. This is the most debilitating thing ever. It scares me to even do normal house/lawn work :(
I had plantar fasjckaljfsdf@#$@#$ whatever it's called a couple of years ago. It got really bad, no idea why. I went to the doctor and he pushed at one point just in front of the heel and man was it painful. He said that after some exersize, stretches, and massages (such as this), it would eventually go away (otherwise he would do cortizone shots). It was gone for about 4 years. I've been running again regularly, and it came back a little bit. Paintful now after a 5K.
@sonebone7 Thanks, I never thought of that. Is that just to keep the pressure in certain areas as I run? For what it's worth, it went away again and I haven't had it for quite some time now.
I had constant pain from P.F. in my right heel. I found Happy Feet insoles at a tradeshow and have been pain free after wearing them for only 3 days. I no longer have that pain when I walk! I paid $40 for them which is wayyyy less than the orthotic my podiatrist wanted to prescribe me and they have a 1 year warranty, too! The promo code/coupon listed on the package says 602. Hope this helps you too!!
It can be extremely painful at first. Later there is a stage where it hurts good, or its a good hurt, depends on how you look at it. When its healed it won't hurt, but can still be tender.
@friendofthediva3 I do them both ways. I prefrer barefoot with bare hands; socks when using the wooden massage device. They do work, i haven't had any plantar fasciaitis for nearly 2 yrs and don't need to do the massages any more.
I've been in serious pain for 3 months, had to quit frisbee games, the love of my life, then only yesterday found out it was planar fasciitis. Yesterday evening I did intense massage similar to what this man has shown us, and there's no doubt I'll be fine soon, maybe in a week. Good video - I'm fairly confident based on one day that this will fix your planar problems.
Anyway, if you have plantar fasciitis, check out the book "Injury Afoot: 30 Things You Can Do to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis." I found it on Amazon. The suggestions helped me a lot.
hey..i dont speak english. i hope you can understand what i say. I have the same problem only in my left foot...i am pretty sure it is because the clutch of my SUV...My question for you is: do you drive a car with manual transmission?
nimblerod - you're not completely wrong. massage and stretching do help - I'm completely pain free after doctor visits, cortisone shots and orthodics did nothing but drain my wallet - and I'm a massage therapist! I finally got smart, researched the condition and cured myself. the problem is you're using a "shotgun" technique where the symptom (the pain) is, not the problem (the cause) is. I recommend sufferers look up abelsonb's youtube video on plantar fascitis and begin with that protocol.
in all p.f. cases the first thing is to find the cause, use a foot scan or a gait analyser. then the physio will interpret the results and give out stretching and strenghtening exercises, insoles or whatever is necessary. self help is ok but its a confused way of dealing with the problem. u always need an external person to interprete the problem for you. in this video he is stimulating a counter-irritant effect and circulation, hitting lots of points
Can't disagree, certainly would be nice to know the cause, and to correct it, if correctable.
fwiw, to those using the techniques. I have been completely a-symptomatic for a few months, no pain whatsoever. There have no changes; no new insoles, no new stretching or strengthening exercises, no new activities, no old activities stopped.
also,I stopped doing the massage techniques a couple of weeks after the pain disappeared. If the pain comes back, I'll resume the massage.
Is it possible just to hit the specific trigger points one find the foot (confirmed by pain!) and get the benefit? you're doing a lot of different movements there so must be hitting those points - and I wonder whether that's what's doing the trick?
Personally, I wouldn't consider it. Have heard that surgery for this and for bone spurs in the foot usually isn't successful, and fequently just makes matters worse.
have u thought about getting surgery? i was curious about getting it but i dont want them to mess with my feet, i have gotten coritizone shots in my feet and now it came back so i going to try this technique.
all he is doing is hitting pressure points, and numbing the plantar, this does not work & after you exercise you will be in just as much or more pain...
I have a lot of problems with my arches! They are very large arches and I love to run but the arches seem to slow me down! 2 questions...what can help with that exactly and how are you qualified to answer that?

I still cannot even put any pressure on my heal in my left foot. It's been a year now and I still cannot walk. I need help and would even consider amputation as I am in pain all the time and it will not go away.
Wow, I wish I had the discipline to do this regularly. I know it would be of great benefit, as I'm a runner with a tendency for tightness in the feet, esp. the plantar fascia. I really admire your consistency.
Well, yes, there are ligaments in the bottom of the foot, but the plantar fascia is a separate and distinct part of the foot, as shown in the dissection at beginning of clip.
How many times have you honked the horn doing this?
