you could also use a 8-point mask, so you can cut out your head and part of your neck that's seen, so there isn't this strange "clear cut"

there are also head explosions for free, with a piece of plastilin or something, in shape of a head, so you just have to add blood effects (if you want)

it means you need to render the clip. there should also be a red line above the clip in the timeline that is unrendered. to render hit Command R.

When you talked about the light adjustments, if the camera does some light adjustments, you can go to the 3-way color corrector and try to even the light out afterwards, it works if the light doesn't change allot.

you might not be in wire frame mode. there is a button at the top of the canvas if you click on it you can change to wire frame view

does this program and video editing in general need a big hard drive? is 320 gigs enough? should i get an external hard drive? i have the new macbook. would it be better with an iMac?

320 is more than enough space if you are going to be doing a lot of video (so far i have only used about 80 gigs). you should probably use an external harddrive so you dont use up all the space on your computer. if you do use an external harddrive, be sure to remember to change your scratch disk location to your external harddrive (under system settings). and a macbook will work perfectly, its what i use =)

yes, you can use the iSight, but the quality wont be as good as if you filmed it with a normal camera
