• Hi Loopyloop...I made a blog of the whole thing, from conception to the headshave. You can find it at Baring it All (see the website's address when you 'see more' of the video's information)

    Hope that helps! :-)

Good luck with the headshave (though, if you are doingit in 2010, I think I should have said, Well done! :-D )

  • I'm planning on doing a sponsored headshave in summer 2010 and I wondered if any1 could tell me what to expect when i do it........ any info would be useful :) it's rare to find people in the UK with the guts to try :)

  • Let's concentrate on what really matters like how come cancer has tripled since the 80's? What's causing it? Vaccines? GMO food? fluorinated water? BPH in plastics? Any of thos can do it. Why are they making vitamins prescription only? They don't want us to be healthy. Population control people. Live in denial all you want but that's the truth.

  • People still donating to a useless cause. You really think they are trying to get a cure? Even if they did you wouldn't be able to afford it. Cancer is the number 1 most profitable disease in the world. Sure some people survive but what are you left with? Its designed to strip your assets before you die.

  • Inspiring! Which is why we chose Cancer Research UK as one of our 10 most deserving Charities. Thank you, I hope we can make a significant contribution to your cause as our supporters grow in number.

    Best Wishes, R.James & A.James - Uchooze.com (please watch our video)

  • Totally disgusting. This woman's hair should have been cut with grace at chin level so she would be able to regrow her hair out without the in between stages.

  • I did that for the CANADIAN cancer society! kudos fellow baldies xD

  • Ridiculous and humiliating for this woman. Which kind of people are paying to see that ? Abnormal people? Research does not deserve such silly show. Unless you are missing what happened during world war 2 ! If I were the boyfriend of this woman, I would run away. Shameful, degradating for women, feel womiting !

  • wow I wonder how many dogs, cats and other helpless animals your donation paid to kill horribly. cancer research tests on animals even though it is not nessesary due to technological advances and computer simulations. perhaps macmillan or some other cancer charity would be a better charity to donate to which doesn't test on animals?

  • Cancer kills 550,000 Americans yrly. It surpassed heart disease in '06. Physicians are making strides in treating the symptoms of: the 1 & only cancer. They're walking down the wrong road. Prof. John Beard's theory is: the cells that create human life {trophoblasts} & malignant cells are indistinguishable. Cancer cells & the immune system carry negative charges and therefor repeal one another. The cyanide & benzaldahyde w/i B17 destroy neoplasms {cancerous growths} w/o harming healthy tissue.

  • Im glad people are doing this for them. My great aunt died of cancer a few months ago.

  • are you saying that to people with cancer? if you then you better shut your big mouth! my dad passed away from cancer which started in his lungs and kidney then it took over his entire body! you think people want cancer? imagine you had cancer would you still be saying what you have just said. you better think about what you're saying because one day some one will punch you in the face and it will probably be me.

  • what a brave girl !!

I really and totally liked your idea

obviously those cancer patients really need a big help!!

  • WOW....this good cause was full of energy!

    Loved this....Thank you so much!

  • I had my head shaved 12-23-07 and loved it. It's a highlight of my life. Truly invigorating. I am a lady of 56 years young.

  • She's enjoying it, it's quite sexy. Good looking woman. Hard to tell whether's she hotter at the end as there loads of strands.

  • And obviously it's for a good cause, so yay!

  • You sick bastards - baldness / hair falling out is NOT a sympton of Cancer - it's a sympton of the SICK way western medicine treats it with LIFE DESTROYING chemo and radiation. Wake up to yourself and begin research NATURAL AND SAFE ways to heal cancer.

  • Auricfield - Not everyone has the luxury of time to heal themselves. My friend spent the last three years of her life trying every alternative medicine she could. It gave her control, but unfortunately didn't save her.

Not everyone is so lucky to have found the right combination of therapies for them.

  • And not everyone is as angry as you for people using conventional methods when (whatever you think of it) it is one of the most successful outcomes so far tested. It's not great. Nobody said it was. But it is what's on offer in this day and age.

Have you ever been in this situation that you can judge?

  • "conventional methods when (whatever you think of it) it is one of the most successful outcomes so far tested" - WRONG!!!!!!

Obviously I can't speak for your friend because I have no idea about what she researched.

  • ok i am doing research on all types of cancers and i learned that some of the cancers can be cured and the medicine is called chemotherapy Chemotherapy has some side affects after the cancer has left like a bad rash where the cancer tumor (or anything else that was interfering was ).Or it can let your hair fall off but it will come back. And did you know that youtr hair might not come out the same if you shave it or lose it ?It might come out nice and wavy or dry maybe even a different color

  • @Auricfield Chemo is sometimes the only way to help people suffering from cancer to live longer. It is not sick, it has side affects but some people have no other choice. Many people depend on it. And not all chemo causes hair loss.

  • @NinjasAreSoCoolLike "it has side affects but some people have no other choice" - no other choice? That's what the doctors tell you... look outside the square... begin to ask questions... you'd be suprised what you might find.

  • @Auricfield No, my Dad tried not to have chemo for a while. Eventually it was the only choice we had to keep him alive. He lived as long as he could, thanks to chemo and his own strong will.

  • good on u well done vry brave women x

  • i did the same thing :)

  • Well done, Kaity! Did you do a video of it or anything?

  • no, all i have is before and after pictures :P

i donated it to locks of love

  • Good on you! I couldn't do that, because my hair was so bleached and dyed, but Cancer Research UK had the proceeds from selling it :-) Have you got your pics on the Net?

  • i could send 'em to you if you want them

  • This was awesome...

It's so good to see every

    corner of the world giving!

    Loved it...Shay

  • that takes alot of guts.♥ god bless that woman. i would do it too though :)

  • It was amazing - Everyone had a story to tell of someone they knew who has/had cancer, and for whom they wanted to do something for. Fundraising can be hard (getting your hair lobbed off is the easy bit!) - but it's so worth it. Even if you raise just a little money, what you do more is help people feel less helpless. It also helped me...

'It 'might not be much, but it was something'

(see my fundraising blog, 'Baring it All' in details)

    Hair grows back.

  • thank you... *calms down and quits punching the other person*

  • You better not be talking to me jerk *breaks glass in pure pissed off anger*

  • i cut off most of my bangs and it was enough to give to locks of love...my sister tryed, but they don't except died hair, so she was about a inch off.

  • That was a really nice thing to do. They wouldn't have taken my hair either, as it had years of dye in it, but someone donated to Cancer Research in return for receiving it, so some good still came of the hair :-)

  • when i was getting my hair cut and the lady told me that it was long enough, there was a enother person in there, she said she was proble going to get my hair because she going through cemo.

  • That's kinda nice, isn't it, knowing someone the hair might be going to.. knowing that someone'll be getting some use out of it. It makes a difference - nice one!

  • wish i had cancer i really need a playstation 3

they get all the presents. i once tryed to eat a whole pack of jaffa cakes and my belly hurt i thought i had cancer but it turned out to be that id just ate to much jaffa. FUCK MAN YOUR RIGHT IM GONNA SHAVE ME EAD RIGHT NOW AND RAISE MONEY FOR THE CANCER KIDS YEA YEA YEA. naaa fuck it im gonna sew my jeans instead?

  • My friend died of cancer last month. Perhaps you should be a bit more thoughtful before you write such messages.

  • ...what an utter bell-end.

  • omg i whould shave my hair for any of my friends!

  • omg! crazy woman! i would ahte too be bald! but ti supose if it was for charity then....i could always buy a wig?

  • I bought lots of wigs that I had lots of fun with, but didn't really wear them as I thought I would. What's the point of shaving your head to show solidarity with a friend with cancer, then hide it away? :-)

  • LMFAO!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

..truthsaid some behind 'ye were dormant 'til Sai Mercury's chant...

  • great video well done ur very brave and very pretty

  • how can I explain the lovely long hair.its very important hair .i cannot forget to see it.thank u Youtube,I love Youtube website

  • this is the best one video that i like to again and again and like long hair to bald.

  • It was fun to do too, kamranpharmacist - but raising over a £1300 was the best bit!

  • thanks :-)

  • wow, beautiful long hair coming off, she a strong girl to cut off beautiful long haiur,

  • Na, just a girl with a friend going through the chemo... did it to stand side-by-side with her bald. The fund-raising was a big bonus

  • yas. she is

  • Joe, why was your mum owned?

  • Owned.

  • Not 'owned' at all, Joe - independent and free... :-D

I'd say I made the choice here, raised over £1000 (target) and hopefully will make a tiny difference to the future of the Cancer treatment...

  • That was nearly two and a half feet (73 cm as measured by the local brownies) of hair!!! Anyone know a wigmaker who might want to buy it?

  • You kept your hair. So it wasn't used to create wigs for cancer patients?

  • Hi philbio66 - the hair raised nearly another £40 for Cancer Research UK (it was dyed too much to be good for cancer survivors themselves, as they tend to avoid the chemical junk that goes into the dye)

  • love to buy it

  • Sorry, jasmasn, I'm afraid the hair's gone to a good home already :-)
