When seeding it's always a good idea to cover the seeded area with peat moss or straw to help retain moisture which helps the seeds to germinate and also to help the seeds from being displaced by rain, wind, etc. Also, you left out important steps such as raking or even tilling the dirt, depends on the density of the soil. You should also water the seeds after. Is there a reason you left these steps out of your video?
Did you just put topsoil on the dead lawn? Did you dig it out or do you expect the seedling roots to penetrate the hard soil after it germinates? The real answer would be the results but I don't see any results??
@GrassStitcher I'm pretty sure it wasn't that compacted, since the other grass is green. Trust me, I've planted lawns before. Fall is the best time to plant cool-season grasses. Just loosen up the soil and add some peat moss or compost. It works!
Nice and simple, this type of video is what people are looking for. Good Job
