@HMV163 This song was VERY frequently used in American cartoons in the 1930's and 1940's, namely Warner Brothers' 'Merrie Melodies' and 'Looney Tunes' animated features. These cartoons are incredibly popular, and still shown today.

In the later 1940s, after the second war, there was a nostalgia phase for the 1920s and this song received a second life then..The 1946 movie "Margie" (set in 1928) has a scene where a young couple dance on the front porch to this song.

I have heard of this song as my grandfather and grandmother knew it very well. They were born in 1906 and 1907 respectively.

Thank you so much. My father used to sign this song all the time. I have never found any one who had ever heard it. My Father was born in 1910.
