Impressive corvette but it does have huge slicks and wheelie bars!, hardly a street type setup like the supra. I like you passion for your "domestic" product , just keep in mind that while they have USA sourced engines that the Pontiac gto from a few years back is a rebadged Holden monaro and the new look Camaro was designed in Australia and is based on the lowly domestic Holden Commodore chassis !.( gmh zeta platform ) All not so proudly USA!.

I agree totally. A true car enthusiast can appreciate any well buit car regardless of it's brand or origin. I actually have a soft spot for Corvettes but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate a descent "Jap" car !. Listening to the Mazda 787b makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck !. This is an awesome Supra,"domestic" or "Jap" who cares.

@xxxEmmureOwnxxx autos in drag racing. this isnt no fast and furious shit. taking the human out of the equation to shift the car the quickest keeps the torque down on the ground. plus the transbrakes they use allow the car to rev up to a certain rpm then disengage it to launch at the start. some times youll see them shift maybe once or twice, but with a single throw of a lever. this is an automatic with a shift override. it all depends on the type of racing.

@TheProPilot huh this isnt a full or even 1/4 chassis with a body on top. Full steel body means exactly that. BL and some other guys put the std dash pad and bits of trim back in weighing at most a handful or 2 of kg, these guys run on a smaller 28x9" tyre. Pick which one gives the most advantage.

@vfIskullangel I will say in all honesty and equality. But to me personally it seems like the last 3 or 4 years the 2JZ Supra engines and the LS Corvette engines are taking over! LOL With some Mustang motors here and there but those two motors have become REALLY popular. Though personally I would still take a RB26DETT from a R34. :) A few other Import motors are becoming popular too and there V8's! The Nissan Titan VK56DE, 94/95 Infinity VH45DE, and the Toyota 1UZ, and 1UZFE! XD

@Vert344 Maybe not as popular, but the Buick Stage 2 3.8L and 4.1L are still pretty popular. I have seen full weight Turbo Regal's break into the high 7s and the full dragstrip cars break into 6s. Unfortunately, production of this block and heads ceased in 1985, so they are getting scarce. I had a chance to buy a stage 2 short block for $7k, but for a car that will never see a cage there was no point.
