Adam Sandler was never a smart comedy writer, but actually quite lazy and was lucky to put movies out during the 90's when you could get away with that. Happy Gilmore was funny for the times, but if that came out now, it would be thrown into big studio run-of-the-mil. Example, Grown Ups? Hahaha what a generic piece of shit comedy. Sandler and major studios just know they can make a quick and easy buck off retards in middle America.
