I am proud that my grandparents instead chose to move eastwards to Kanpur, Calcutta, Ahemadabad and Surat. Proud to be a Hindu and Indian and Punjabi. Why? i am from Surat, Gujarat, India. My grandparents both paternal and maternal emigrated to Kanpur/Calcutta from Dera Ismail Khan during partition. I never knew Derewaali was also known as Saraiki. So where are the rest of you from? The Bhatia Bazaar (im Karan Bhatia) still runs in Dera Ismail Khan?
