brilliant series. Most K-12 textbooks are written by liberal Democrats, who glorify Cesar the dictator and cast Brutus as evil, when in reality Brutus was protecting the republic.
@Caliche316 WOOT AMEN BROTHER CAESAR IS MY FAVORITE PERSON IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD! people say at my school that Rome wasnt so great because they fell before the barbarians...the scum...ROME LASTED FOR MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND YEARS!!!!
Seems like in them good ole days men were mostly created for killing and dying. It's amazing there are any men today, with how many have been slaughtered in the past. Good thing that big bang was smart enough to engineer many males being born, or we'd be bereft without them. Turns the stomach to see portrayed death of so many men. Wonder if the big bang was sickened by it too
Wrong, read the history of the late Res Publica Romana, its city state constitution could not cope with empire and it turned upon itself. Caesar was but the most succesful military dynast and Demagogue.
That is completely false. Caesar was the beginning of a huge change. His work was carried on. The begging of the decline of Rome is easily marked at Imperator Commodus. His mad work was the kick off for the internal destruction of Rome. And even then it didn't really start to show any signs of weakness till about 250-300 A.D.
I'm sorry to say this but in my opinion is Rome just a city with many cultures together because many of wars. The senate was already a mess because in my opinion the romans copied it wrong from the greece democracy. Maby you have a other opinion but this is just my opinion
That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I'm stating that Gaius Julius Caesar was how a new age began. He wasn't the spark to the golden age nor the great destruction. He was a great man and yes he was trying to solve a corrupt senate. Only he wished to dominate that senate.
You are right that he started a new age but I don't he was trying to solve the senate he was trying to get trust from the ppl of rome or else he got not killed from the senate.

No offense but, this is the most overused music for video's. And it's very ill fitting to the topic.

Murdering Caesar effectively murdered Rome itself... :)

Rome as a Republic had been murdered long ago. Caesar just blatantly pointed out--not with words, but actions.

Yeah he was trying to be on top rather than fight for what was right. But the results of that were very beneficial for Rome none the less.
