  • L The Head Toucha - Too Complex

  • the original is "holding you, loving you" by Don Blackman

  • i don't know what the original original sample is, but i know the track "what the game made me" by jay-z and memphis bleak used it first.

puts's "question in the form of an answer" came out in 2000; jay's track was released in '98 it's here: watch?v=U_Tx5IZ_0jA

  • @tpmgx6

Never mind Jigga, PUTS is real hip hop.

  • Fuck a Jay-Z. Nas slayed him in "Ether"

  • And?

  • this is a better version

  • @tpmgx6 that doen mean they didn't sample it first...it was released in 2000, songs were made way before the due date

  • @siloe103 the sample track was released in 1982. Don Blackmon.

L The Head Toucha - Too Complex

  • Finally, something to soothe my ears.....real hip hop.

  • i love these guys. they're beats are so chill and their lyrics are golden. they have an excellent philosophy on life

  • @hinchman12 oh this beat was made by dj premier actually im pretty sure, but not thes one, which is not usual of them. But i sure wasnt expecting to hear this beat when i clicked on the song and now im psyched! this beats the BOMB!

  • @LOGIC42369 This ain't Premo. It's Thes One. Premo's never worked with PUTS.

  • @UnknownsDarkSide -- I know he hasnt worked with them but he made this beat and they mustve bootlegged it or somn', look up 'L DA HEADTOUCHA - TOO COMPLEX' it was made yeeears back and the beat was Premo. (probably one of my favorite rap songs look it up) PUTS did add sum different effects to this though.

  • @LOGIC42369 DJ Premier its on the new york reality check 101 album which is done by L Da Headtoucha you are 100% correct. This is still great since people under stairs remixed it. Gotta enjoy PUTS u don't get hip hop like this anymore. - J-MAN HNIC in Japan.

  • @UnknownsDarkSide not too mention in the L da headtoucha version they got the dopest scratch intro

  • @LOGIC42369 he prob found the original and flipped it himself.

  • @LOGIC42369 The L da Headtoucha beat was by Vinyl Reanimators. The song appeared on a DJ Premier mixtape, but he didn't do any of the beats on that album. I like L's version the best.

  • @suckmyballsguy oh yea the Vynil Reanimators was the shizzz cuz the intro took like 2 minutes just flippin L's first words, it was like the best turntable intro for a track ever IMO, just so dope, so pure

  • originally sampled from don blackman

  • yo i got a bad comment! PUTS SAMPLED InI! but thats not even that bad that's hip hop so nevermind! HA!

  • this has to be their most slept on album

  • ahhhh man ... i love this LA sound

  • ive never seen a bad comment about these guys, and i doubt i ever will..

  • why would anyone waste time talking shit about these guys? They are the incarnation of chill in rap. Honestly, after listening to at least one song, we all wouldnt mind hanging out on their front porch with a beer and some lemonade, just relaxing.

  • i love this song. these guys are poets and they truly get it, they have such a great philosophy on life and you can sink into oblivion by just listening to these guys after sparkin one up!
