She was wonderful. She did look a bit uncomfortable on the piano, but I thought she sounded terrific. I didn't really think Simon's point was too relevant. It's going to be hard for me to vote this week. I really love both Crystal and Lee. They're just different. The fact is...Crystal takes these great old songs, sings them, and knocks it out of the park. She doesn't screw the song up, butcher the sound, or even tinker with the arrangement to sound all hip and cool. She just does what she does best. The other contestants try entirely too hard to look unique, and they end up looking stupid and sounding worse... a real artist never gets swallowed up by the song, it just comes natural to Crystal. She is the real deal.
