  • Man I really wish they would have assassinated Daala....GOD im so tired of hearing about her.

  • Thx for the posting...I've always wondered what a literary hack looks like!

    Now I know :P

  • The beginning and end were funny, and Denning gets his tragic ending =D

  • Aaron Allston is one of the best Star Wars writers out there. I think LOTF and FOTJ are both great series.

  • @Obiwannabe i strongly agree with you

  • @Obiwannabe i strongly agree with you as well

  • @Obiwannabe i strongly agree with you as well

  • @Obiwannabe i strongly agree with you

  • Jacen dies in the end

  • OMG ...... such nerds.hahahah funny

  • Why must these modern Jedi settle their disputes with light sabers. They were guardians of peace for the universe at one point. What happened Obi Wan, your our only help ?

Obi Wan- " Owen Megregor to you Tom 6093 and I don't have all the answers. You do realise Star Wars is just a fictional story ?..........right ?

  • funny cuz these events are what catch most of my attention....the films are awesome...but i am insanely fascinated with the new jedi order, skywalker and solo families, yuuhzan vong wars, the jedi academy, kyle katarn, etc....and it sucks cuz ive been seeing too much clone wars (games and shows, etc ) that Im pretty much sick of it......they should come out with more games after ROTJ...

  • Amen to that! Legacy is so amazingly cool! I wish they make game or at least a mod for KOTOR or Jedi Academy about "Legacy of the Force"....

  • Why wasn't Karen Traviss there?

  • Oh, there is a very simple explanation.

  • My mistake.

*SARCASM* Why wasn't Karen Traviss there? *END SARCASM*

  • may the force be with us all......

  • Overall, good series. The ending sucked though.

  • well i finally finished. last couple books kinda dragged, but all in all it was a good series. now off to Enderverse i go.....

  • revelation had a vicious space battle ending though

  • Personally I enjoyed reading these books. My only real complaint was the death of Mara, I remember when she first appeared in heir to the Empire and i thought imedeatly that she was a cool character. But its like someone here said, nothing lasts forever.

Just sucks that good/intresting characters die before were tired of them lol.

  • for those of you that may be interested, there is a NEW series set to come to bookstores in april 2009,taking place a few years after the end of LOTF

  • whats the name of the new series?

  • its called fate of the jedi, and i was wrong about it being a few years after the end of LOTF, it's actually more like half a year

  • Does anyone know if there is going to be a 10 book coming out for this series?

And I also noticed the LOTF is a lot like the abbreviation my teacher would use for the novel Lord of the Flies. I know, random

  • no because after this when han and leia have custody of amelia(allana) they go and try and find out the history behind the millenium falcon.

  • Yeah, well on the book it does say the Final book so I just noticed that.

But hopefully they'll do another series cause I want to see how allana and ben grow up and stuff.

  • Lumiya was living in that abandoned asteroid colony, which was the former lair of a Sith Lord. She must've learned alot from whatever remaining knowledge was recorded and stored there. Plus, the fact that it was saturated with the Dark Side would greatly boost the power of any Sith Lord, while causing Light Siders to be sorely tempted to turn--like Jacen.

  • i just finished 'sacrifice' I'm now starting 'inferno'!

  • I'm loving this book and it was great to see the writers who have made it all happen!

  • this was funny...i bet it's going to be tragic since tragedy is one of Denning's strong points and he's writing Invincible...he'll kill of Jacen, I bet.

  • He does unfortunatly. He had better play it out well...

Sorry folks who thought that he would live and I feel like the biggest fool for insisting the last few months that he would live and kill off on of the movie characters.

It will be the most bitter sweet ending to a series since Return of the Jedi because the War became family against family.

  • So when Troy says the tragic ending and Aaron says the happy ending, any opinions as to whitch ending might win and what each author means by happy and tragic?

  • Five says it'll be bittersweet.

  • Revelation's been out for a few days, I won't say what I think yet. Anyone have an opinion of the novel? Anyone whose read it fully? Any comments Good, Bad, Anything?

  • Traviss did a good job on Revelation. It is focusing mainly on Jaina and her tutoring under Boba Fett and his Mandalorian commandos. You would find out more on how Fett and his Mandalorians earn such a reputation as perfect soldiers and the reason Fett hasn't attacked Jacen yet.

  • Revelation was overall a great book. Karen Traviss knows how to tell a story. The only thing I though was somewhat done quietly but it still makes sense is how Jacen reveals to a few people that he is now DARTH CAEDUS. Great Book!!

  • This is a general statement because I'm tired of reading in too many places that LOTF is no good. This 9 book series sets up all the sub-plots of the established characters. When Invincible will be realesed all of them are heading off in new directions and better exploring their emotions. So please be patient.

  • I DONT WANT LUKE TO DIE!!

  • I know but two things 1. There's no fun in an undeafitable character and 2.Nothing is forever anyway. That is just an unfortunate fact of life. But hey what do we have Force Ghosts for?

  • I rather Han Solo die, but not LUKE!!! thats crazy why would they kill them off??

  • I don't think they will kill off Luke no sooner than they would Jacen. But he dies eventually, unfortunatly. Personaly I think if the authors want to really shock us they would probably kill Han off like Chewie in NJO. What about Leia? Has anyone thought that she might die in this series?

  • Lukes to important to kill off, your right Han or Leia should die, im just saying Luke is just way far out reach from death they need Luke hes to valueable.

  • Truth be told even Han and Leia are too valuable but their a more reasonable option. I'm not even going to discuss Fett. The Imperial Remneant is brought back into the story, sympathies for Corellia on one side, support for Jacen on the other any thoughts on where their taking Imperial Space in this Series and Post-LOTF Before Fel the first obviously?????

  • BECUASE THEY ARE OLD AND BORING!!! HAVE luke die in some crazy lightsaber battle

  • Old yes boring no. That's like telling a WWII

veteran he's not worth you're time. But I totatly agree on the some crazy saber duel.

Personally I think Luke and Jacen will fight each other in some distant novel in the near future to a draw and neither will come out of it alive

  • I wanted ben to kill jacen atcually, and have ben fall to the darkside. then ben would have to fight in a crazy lightsaber duel.

  • That would have been a little off. I mean he already looks too much like Anakin Skywalker.

If poeple are complaining about LOTF with some of the stories now I think poeple would destroy them if that happened. Just my opinion. Ben borders the darkside anyway. He's one messed up kid right now. Can't wait too see what they'll do with him.

  • But it WOULD be better. ATleast have ben as jacens apprentance....I mean...Jacen isnt THAT powerful...he is just kinda "eh"

  • Perhaps Ben will become Solo's apprentice at some point in the Post-LOTF who know's for sure. But I think before anything like that happens Jacen is going to need time to establish himself as the new Sith Lord first.

Agreed that Jacen's not that powerful, he just keeps taking poeple by surprise that's why he's so good. I can't belive they kiled Pellaeon!!!!! Nooooooo......oh well he was a unique person and he died the way he would have wanted too...in military service.

  • Ben doesn't become the apprentice, Caedus Aquires one which isnt Ben

  • And it's Tahiri I know....I had somewhat different expectations for Legacy. It's still a good series though. And she gets her butt whiped pretty easily in the end.

  • I'm with Troy on this one THE TRAGIC ENDING

this series as it stands right now would make no sense if they killed Caedus off so soon. Based on what's supposed to happen in Revelation (I won't give it away to those who don't know)he would look like a pointless character. He has to live in my opinion and come out stronger than everyone for a long time while The War keeps intensifying. My opinion though. Also I think he will kill Luke at some point post LOTF. My opinion again. LOTF is awsome.

  • personally i love star wars y loved the new jedi order series. But you guys are right they DO STALL A TON in the books, they dont get to the point! if you take out all the stalled stuff it would be perfect.

  • i'm not show about having three authors. They have different styles, and write about different people. Still though, the books are good

  • The problem is the same that plagued the NJO series. There are far too many authors to even have a halfway cohesive story to tie up loose ends. Denning is a subpar author, Traviss is worth and Allston is halfway decent.

  • I think you just like traviss because she loves to write about boba fett. I enjoy the boba fett interludes but aside from the events with "Ailynn habuur" and giving jag the beskar. but it really seems her stories would do better as standalones because she really seems to be doing her own thing. With two books left Im sure the mandalorians will be a tipping point but i still think a lot of her writing in the series was unnecessary fluff.

  • I feel the series has the more Star Wars feel than New Jedi Order and Dark Nest.

For one, the enemy is no longer some invincible alien species; in fact, the "enemy" in the war isn't explicitly established, since there are good guys on both sides. That, I think, makes the series so awesome: it does away with the traditional "good guys-bad guys" scenario in favor of a more realistic situation: the fact that, more often than not, the lines between "good" and "bad" are dangerously blurred.

  • The Legacy series has completely renewed my interest in the Star Wars EU.

Honestly, I got bored mid-way the NJO story; I was like "for gods sake just finish the damn storyline already!" I was super happy when "Unifying Force" came out as the final NJO book. The Dark Nest trilogy was a major disappointment; I didn't even finish book 1 before I stopped. But this new series is like a breath of fresh air; FINALLY they're returning to the spirit of the films.

  • I read this book way back when it came out - he really did an excellent job of not re-writing the movie, but complementing it. Metaphors for the dark side brewing within Anakin, and explanations for stuff that was cut from or neglected in the movie: jealousy of Obi-wan and Padme, or why he trusts/respects Palpatine. Also the good times of Team Obi-Ani - how good they were, equally matched, and great of friends they were, so when it all goes down the tubes, you have a greater sense of loss.

  • The series is awesome - the authors are an excellent writing team. It's really fun to see this. Many thanks to the responsible for putting this up.

  • @zhananna i am about to own the whole legacy of the force book series i cant wait to read the first novel in the legacy of the force book series cant wait to read all 9 of them

  • Well, it's a good thing they're authors instead of actors...but the books are awesome, for sure. Mando all the way!

  • this series rocks i love star wars. i like the ending in this video it is preatty cool!!

  • legacy of the force rocks!!!

  • I just love this series, I read Inferno in a day! I was really hoping to hear from Karen though... I'm still having troubles accepting that they killed my favorite character as Jacen's sacrifice though :o(

  • Could've put the Fury and Revelation covers up too :(

  • Troy Denning and Aaron Allston are two of my favorite writers. They've written the best SW books, in my opinion. They've done an awesome job with this series so far. They are some of the greatest storytellers of the SW EU.

I have to side with Mr. Denning on this one though... Tragic ending all the way. Jacen HAS to die. And the Sith have already pretty much won. It's already been foreshadowed in the Legacy comics.

  • Not a whole lot of substance to the interview, but cute nonetheless. Why wasn't Karen Traviss involved? The ending was ok. It's obvious why these guys are authors as opposed to actors. I've enjoyed the series thus far. Haven't had time to read Inferno yet.

  • inferno is the best book yet

  • They need to write more books this series must not end!

  • I'm really enjoying the series. Keep up the great work!

And swing low for the kill!

  • Nice. The ending was pretty funny...

  • The books have been great so far. Why a whole nother year to finish the next 3 books tho when you have 3 authors?

  • i have all 5 books

  • There's six books now, the newest being Inferno. :)

  • Good work on the books! The ending of this video was pretty funny.
