What a weird thing life is. If his son Conor had not died in that manner, would Clapton have ever composed and produced the song "Tears in Heaven"? Did it have to take such a horrible tragedy just to bring out such a beautiful song into this world? There might be no more tears in heaven, but I do have many questions in heaven. Joel Goldsmith may have been really right: There is no God in the human scene.

this is why the janitor should have closed the windows--even if he felt he was only going to be out of the room for a second! that was very irresponisble. if i knew a small child was in a room--especially a 53 story building, i wouldnt leave the windows open--not even for a half mili second, little kids are fast and it takes no time for them to get into something. did you know it could take only 4 or 5 second for a kid to break from your grip and run out into the street???

I'm not sure who posted the above story or where they got the information, but some of it is wrong. Eric was not married to Lori. He was actually still married to Pattie Boyd when Conor was born.  And he was in fact, proud to be a father from the very first moment Conor was born and wanted to be a good father, having himself grown up without a father. All of this is chronicled in Pattie Boyd's memoirs entitled "Wonderful Tonight".
