We don't know what the C, Y, M and A stand for, but since the pronunciation "Cy Ma" is shorter than "Ce Wy Em A", I guess that's the one to go for.

IMHO, it works just like radar, NATO, SOCOM etc...

Like how you pronounce radar as "radar", not "Ra.D.A.R.", SOCOM as "socom", not "S.O.Com" and NATO as "nato", not "N.A.T.O."

On the Real M-14 this serves the same purpose to cover a small storage area in the stock of the rifle. learn your shit dumbass, the rear hinged putt plate is not made to improve accuracy even if people do put it over their shoulder.

this gun isnt a rue sniper. it is more of a long range rifle. most bolt action snipers have over 450 fps. this is only 360-380 fps

as it just so happens i do, but thats not specifically what it was created for. it was supposed to replace multiple guns. youd have guys with the bar and the m1 garand and the grease gun or the thompson etc, and resupplying was difficult. so its like half and half between what you said, but it wasnt to cross it, that implys that it would be less, its got a much larger caliber then the modern M16.

Not really. Both M14s, the long barreled and the short barreled, are intended to be used as an assault rifle. The dragunov was developed as a sniper rifle, it was later discovered that you could use an M14 to snipe.
