The time taken for the crews to get on the appliance depends upon the severety of the call out, like if it was rubbish alight then not as quick. but if it was a persons reported house fire then id expect they would react alot quicker.
After readin some of the comments on this site i spoke with the local Fire Officer who is a close friend as we both our services work closely together and as far as he is aware 95% of all Fire Engins here N.Ireland carry around 500 gallons + and when they are finished at the scene they would fill up there water tank incase they get another call to attend a fire etc.
Well im the Chief Station Officer of my station and if my crews where as slow as that fire crew i would have something to say seeing as you have informed me they where in the station at the time, maybe they wanted to finish off their meal LOL. Anyway many thanks for pointing it out that where in fact in the station at the time and some of the crews here ask'd me to see this movie and make my comments.
PS: Maybe the Station Manager would like to see this movie!! I think NOT.
Yeh the turnout time is not good i recall being at a wholetime / retained station once where there was a two pump shout. The wholetime truck turned out and the retained truck turned out 18mins later that was very bad.
