Mr. Greeninger shows us the difference between playing guitar and playing music. The difference between having something to say or just quoting somebody else.
@Thebluesrockmusic well, compared to the way we are used to seeing people hold them, yes. But believe it or not, this is the traditional way to hold the guitar dating back hundreds of years, and if you try it you might find it's more comfortable as well.
years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
@naglamsis i like the way he's playing his guitar . He totally looks like a painting i've seen , but can't remember the name/artist . It was with a guitarist playing an acoustic and he was bent on his guitar exactly this way .
@nati505 I dont think your able do play it if you need tabs =)
Dont mean to offend you but first of all that are a hell lot of notes and that written down in tabs will be reaaally long! and you need to be really skilled to play this and people needing tabs(including myself) arent skilled enough I think ;)
@aronkarmusic What you on about? Practise will get you to learn everything, plus tabs can also just be the chords.. which comes in pretty handy when learning a song like this (and maybe some licks).
A brilliant arrangement! I love the fire in your playing, and the voicings you've chosen have breathed new life into a tired old tune. Absolutely fantastic! Bravo, bravo, bravo!
Great playing, nice arrangement, but the guitar does not sound good. sounds like your playing rubber bands. I would try different method of amplification if i were you.
Superb in every respect! And the TONE is excellent . . .
But the best surprises are the dynamics--especially the bridge-tapping bass phrases, that are simply "WOW!" . . .
And for the folks who do not know so much about guitars and TONE, notice where he picks the various notes and phrases with respect to distance from the bridge, which as a bit of clue (a) dramatically changes the harmonics and overtones and (b) is one of the ways to determine when a guitarist really understands TONE . . .
@Zarbonk don't start waffling too much of this theoretical shit ... may things cannot be played in a way Jim did, simply becuase many people do not have his long fingers ...
people nowadays have bassists, singers, drummers, background singers, audio editing... classical guitar songs are great because they are just what they are. only guitar.
