  • One of the cool things they offer are other drop in pickup configurations. The Taylor necks are great. I bought a mint one on Ebay for $750 and am delighted

  • That thing sounds amazing.

  • crp music lol

  • Great Demo !!!

  • Sounds great!! A TvJones- like sparkle tone .

But these solidbodies are some of the ugliest guitars ever seen. I really cannot understand what did they have on their mind when they designed them. They won't ever compete with anyone with this dumb look.

  • I played one of these the other day at a local shop. Our local shop sells a lot of low end crap guitars, but they do carry a few decent fenders and Taylors. I had never played a Taylor electric and I plugged one into a vintage fender tube amp and within the first 30 seconds I realized the quality of these guitars. It was $1300 which, for the quality, is a steal compared to Gibsons and Fenders. A truely solid guitar on every level at a very reasonable price.

  • I want to learn guitar soon and haven't even played one yet. I was looking at a $1800 Fender Vintage Telecaster. But after looking at these..I don't even think about the Fender anymore, lol.

  • @Luwinkle ...you want to learn guitar by buying an $1800 guitar? fuck off. go buy a squire for 200. you have no need for a good guitar

  • @dbsk8r92 Someone's a bit of a douchebag here eh?

  • @dbsk8r92 Also they're 1200, not 1800. And at first I got a Squier (they're not spelled Squire)..and it was a POS..got a Laguna now.

  • @dbsk8r92 It really is not your business to dictate what quality guitar someone buys. Why would someone not learn on a nice guitar if they can afford it? Playing on a good instrument is part of the enjoyment. I have been seeing these exact models go used, in like new condition on ebay in the $700-$900 range.

  • i just bought one of their acoustics today and i didnt even play it. i just wanted to stare at it

  • could you mount a bigsby on this thing?

  • one of my friends put a bigsby on his and it sounds amazing!

  • @sunp Pardon me but ive heard it a lot. what is a 'bigsby

  • its a more traditional type of tremolo system, found on all kinds of guitars from telecasters to hollowbodies, even on some acoustics.

  • @dbsk8r92 i see you've deleted your comment. looks like you realized it was directed to the comment below mine and realized you were the dipshit.

  • I applaud the intention here - but please - use a tuner next time ...

  • I don't think it's much out of tune, maybe the bridge intonation a tad off ... but I'd rather leave it like hat - I like the natural chorus effect when the chords ring out :-)

  • It's all true! Taylor solidbodies are amazing guitars and those who own them (like myself) are very lucky.

  • Dude your vibrato is very nice! There are so many many people out there who do a vibrato thats just terrible, hectic, uneasy and yours is the opposite of that. I appreciate it =)

  • beautiful setup. so warm and rich sounding. i have a tele thinline with a deville....but it just doesn't match up to this. you have something great there, my friend.

  • I have this guitar and this vid just dosen't do it justice. The quality of sound is un-paralleled. Taylor is going to top Gibson and other top competition in a matter of a few years if they keep this up. They are already the best in the acoustic market.

  • dude you don't know anything do you?

sure strats and les pauls are great, but taylor is known for quality work.

  • considering the price, they better be.

  • the price of the strats and les pauls or the taylors?

  • those taylors, they arent cheap. but yeah, gibsons are waaaay to damn overpriced. and i would never buy a new USA strat. maybe people used to buy them for a reason, but nowadays the quality of USA instruments dont convince me to pay that much anymore.

  • Yeah, because all of fender's and gibson's guitars are just beyond reproach these days...

  • You fool, Taylor Solidbodies aren't designed to copy anything.

They are a type of guitar in itself, you need to play it to believe me, I was skeptical at first but it's amazing!

  • This was a very good demo. Now I know the true sound of the Taylor Solidbody.

  • wait till you here it in real life! =]

  • ok, I`m confused, how can two pickups have a 5 way selector switch?

  • It shifts between halves of each pickup or something as well. So in essence you are turning off half of your pickup or something. I don't know for sure. I'm sure someone will correct me. I'm an acoustic person.

  • very informative. thanks

  • i have this guitar, same finish, but its the custom solidbody, the toning isnt any differnt, but the hardware and action are amazing. this is one of the best out there

  • are you sure you have the 'custom'? they don't come in a white finish. custom comes in walnut and koa. standard comes in aged cherry sunburst and edgeburst. classic comes in white, red, black, and natural.

  • i have this guitar, i advise you give it a try through a cranked vintage tube amp, the distortion is killer. Such a resonant guitar, the funky bridge seems to give it alot of sustain. The neck is untreated and very fast, what a beautiful insturment.

  • Great demo, great guitar.

  • I wanna get one of these, but I need a job :(

  • the next big thing after the paul!!

  • thanks alot!!

  • great tone
