  • People just need to stop making excuses

  • To all: it is not a matter of self control. It is not a matter of pushing yourself away from the table a bit sooner. It is eating the right foods. Read "Fighting the Food Giants", by Paul A. Stitt. Then read Dr. Atkins' books then perhaps the South Beach Diet and you will begin to understand. To those of you who want to shame the obese into losing weight; shame on you! You obviously have no understanding of what is really going on. It is not fat that makes you fat, it is carbohydrates.

  • Americans are fat because they are lazy. You hardly see a fat person in Japan, because they work hard while Americans sit on their fat arse playing xbox, watching tv, and taking drugs

  • @RoyalQueenSarah I really have to laugh at you! You obviously have an axe to grind against America and Americans. I suspect you have an inferiority complex. I have an 81 year old father and a 77 year old mother who could work you into the ground!

  • Stephen Colbert is wicked. AmeriCA, on the other hand, is the most hilarious country on Earth (for those of you who do not get sarcasm: Not in a good way).

  • the 12 year old who got lipo is annoying. My parents got a divorce when I was 13, I lost my 2 best friends, and my grandma died. I didnt put on TO much weight. Granted I gained 10 pounds but I would never let myself get that big..... especially if my parents poured their money into a liposuction.

  • "Whats the Choice" ..? Healthy Food? Sports?

  • So americans must be the only people who expirience stress? Americans are the only people with bad genetics and chemical imbalances? Or maybe it's the fact that americans spend more time infront of computer or a tv with hot-pockets and potatoe chips by their side. The rest of the world isn't as fat as us, I guess they don't have stress in their societies? The rest of the world has better genetics than us?

  • And STOP using time as an excuse. I'm a full time employee and a full time college student, yet I have all the time I need to cook every meal from scratch, exercise, and have fun . My parents worked full time and raised 2 kids, they had all the time they needed to cook every meal...without using instant "boxed" meals. The average american adult spends 5 hours each day infront of a computer and/or tv. Get off your lazy asses and stop pretending your weight is beyond your contol...

  • I'm not trying to offend people, but it is a matter of self control.

  • @Andrew90091 Gosh... I could not agree more...

  • dreamworks makes people fat O.O

  • and i know what im talking about. former fat ass here, now 6'1 and 180lbs (used to weight 230). hated myself and decided enought is enought. changed my lifestyle, stopped eating and drinking shit and counting the calories. if you dont have willpower to do that, you deserve the body you have.

  • @reiseRi I'm glad it was that easy for you, but it's really not that simple. To say as much is disingenuous.

  • @shineboxmedia Losing weight really is that simply. Pulling your body from metabolic syndrome is very simple. The willpower in a person maybe isn't simple but thats all on the individual. But on technical terms its very easy to get healthy and lose weight.Americans however, are conditioned to eat a certain way because its the majority of food that is produced pure crap.

  • @shineboxmedia It really is that easy, if you exercise on a daily/weekly basis. Eat healthy, stop filling your body full of processed foods. You will lose the weight. You will gain muscle. It's that simple. It's people who say it's not simple that make it not simple.

  • @shineboxmedia

Antoher former fatso over here, hes right its a matter of will, ive been fat for long time, and i started to change my diet got running, and freefighting 6 days a week training it took me 5 years but now im ripped!i still have some striae marks and those will never go away, but i think its time to stop protecting lazy fat people just like we dont protect smokers, but instead we pitty them, well i dont... its a matter of choice and thats all there is to it.

  • @shineboxmedia

1 more question, you wouldnt by any chance be a fatty yourself trying to hide your weak mental strength by accusing coorperations and the food industry? Because your to blame for your fatness, nobody else, its the stuff you put in your mouth nobody is doing that for you, you can decide to take good foods from home and leave the easy fast food alone, but as i said before....ITS A MATTER OF CHOICE!

  • and believe me, you need to make fat people aware that they are fat. the change will start when they hate themselves enought to actually do something about it. sometimes feelings have to get hurt to get your fatass moving

  • it is simple physics. energy in energy out. theres nothing more to it, if you consume less than you burn, you will lose weight. there is no magic in it. people start making stupid lies because they dont have discipline. shut your fat face and eat less.

  • @reiseRi You could not be more wrong

  • No longer does calories in calories out provide sufficient advice most particularly when there are hormonal imbalances. When leptin is depleted, Insulin Resistance pursues, and low fat is consistently touted, that arithmetic does not add up.

  • you know at the end of the day, when you leave the US doctors are much more in agreement about the fact that it will always come down to calories in vs calories out. stress? you think our parents' and grandparents' generations weren't stressed with issues such as the great depression, oil shocks and their subsequent unemployment, etc? The difference then was that people simply did not eat the rubbish they eat today, and they moved more.

  • awesome take on the subject. Great video. obesity has less to do with food and exercise than emotion & stress in my opinion. obesity seems like a blatant call for help, but instead we ridicule and mock those calling for help making the problem worse. same as drug abuse.. criminalize a blatant need to soothe deep hurts, and cut the wounds deeper. when will we learn.

  • great video

shows a realistic view of the obesity issue

and i love how it pointed out the over-simplification placed on the reasons for obesity in America
