Oh its a Madagascar Rosewood Back and sides, sitka spruce, maple binding, ebony fretboard, mahogany neck :) But this is only plugged in so you can't really hear the true acoustics like the other vids.

I think I see a very Indian raga influence in your playing style....did u learn Indian classical by any chance? Thanks a lot! A lot of the eastern things you hear are what I learned from my dad (violinist) He plays a lot of persian stuff so it stuck with me in some songs.

It was impresionistic. The intoduction painted a background wash for a canvas on which the performer painted his main theme. Very beautiful.

Now I see why you use the capo.. I guess loosens the strings a little.. but mostly becaue it shifts the 12 7 and 5 harmonic placements such that you can hit these easier while playing a melody on the first string, since the melody line falls on the same fret.. but now its shifted so you have room to get all the harmonics from all strings. Correct?

I actually use the capo on all strings except the highest string, this is used for all the movement pieces. I don't use the capo because it lowers the action or because of hitting the harmonics easier but for compositional and economic fingering purposes... hope that helps :)
