The mind wants to put life into a tidy organized box, but it's more spontaneous than we can ever collect and interpret. It is endless to us. The best approach to life is to take it as it is with each experience and be careful not to delve too deep. Only as deep as we need to before we discomfort ourselves and change our perception of reality. Reality is simply our interactive space with our environment. Introspective awareness helps us learn and grow, but we have to balance it with experience.
This 'nothingness' that is beyond everything, this is what we need to realize, not as an idea in the mind, but through verification. this is were you are perceiving all mental concepts from, these mental concepts then shape your outside world, this place, no mental concepts can describe it, so drop all of them, drop everything and see what remains, you will find that what remains 'in you' cannot be taken away because there is nothing there to go anywhere. verify it....

Perhaps there is nothing behind our consciousness but chemo-electromagnetic impulses -> so our truth is simply evanescence. Perhaps there is more behind our consciousness -> so our truth is development of the Higher Self?
What we know is that there can be 2 conditions -> Oneness or Seperation. So is our actual condition of Seperation a faked imagination?
Unfortunately I'm not able to get in a state of enlightenment because I'm archaic. Everyone knows who s/he is -> organic victim of nature or an perverted game where the consciousness of every being is used by the Creator for consume the whole range of life, happiness & misery -> that's reflexion. Are we beyond time & space? I'm afraid no, we are organic, mind is an imposter.
I want to believe that there is more behind life, that there is a Higher Self for which development these organic life passed through his development of consciousness. But is that not just a self persuaded imagination? ... I don't know. So there is one truth & one lie ... & I cannot distinguish. & I doubt that anyone can this as long s/he is just in a state of organic life.

In my dawn I experienced that there is something beyond life in a metaphysic way but over the years I killed all in myself so now I willingly experience the emptyness of my source so I've reduced myself.
there is no need to believe in anything, no need, belief is just a mental concept, it takes you further away, 'higher self' 'being' etc are all just concepts we use to describe 'this' because there is no other way to describe something that is beyond concepts.
answer me this though, can you be something you can perceive?
YES ... & I know that this is a catchy question regarding to consciousness. YES I can perceive myself, in mind in heart in senses. ... By the way when all senses recognise the same thing combined you can "believe" that it's true, even when it's just in your state of dimension.
@artfantasies and what sees this mind? what sees this heart? what is aware of the senses? can yo mind perceive itself? do thoughts, ideas, mental concepts perceive themselves and each other? or is there one beyond who sees everything coming and going in your mind but this one stays?
consider, can the tip of a finger touch itself? or can it only touch that which is not the tip?
think about it.. how can your source be that which is already in front of you to see? how can you perceive yourself?
Hope there is no misunderstanding, but finally that's the SELF-awareness like for example in the christian mythology what should be the difference between human & animals. So as part of this SELF-awareness we are guilty and animals are pure. & by the way this is why they sacrificed animals for God, because they are pure. You & me are able to recognize our state of existence & other possible dimensions too. The mind is part of the source & reflector for itself to do this.
you are right to say that there is nothing behind our consciousness, its very true, there is no object there to point to as a source of consciousness, even consciousness its self is just an idea, the eletro magnetic pulses you speak are not primary but secondary since they can be perceived, the perceiver is the primary, break them down you will find that there is nothing there. everything comes from this nothing, thats why it is said that everything is empty in nature.

Why is everything? -> for reflexion -> God uses life to consume the whole range of happiness & misery.
What is the base of it? -> consicousness, self awareness -> connected with the source so this can happen & can be consumed.
How do this work? -> God is in everything & being -> that's like the breath of life to keep you alive -> finally we are limited free marionettes.
