I can only remember the person to whom the first place award was given because he was on the same show with Jackie. Jackie has turned out to be the REAL winner. I love this little girl.
@TheOldHerbaceous You don't have to worry about that. Jackie sings below her maximum capacity and gets adequate recovery between concerts and other performances, so is not at risk of "ruining her voice". She is also being looked after by one of the top otolaryngologists in the country.

@jdhass1 It is well known by now, and fairly evident at the time, that Jackie forfeited the win to Michael in order to do what was in her best interests. She would be tied down under the AGT contract and would have made much less than in her current contract. Talk to any Grimm fans and they will vehemenently deny that fact. Sales for Jackie almost 3 million, sales for MG around 23,000....it is evident who really won.

Does anyone really believe that Jackie didn't "win" after her first performance? It is my opinion (no hard facts, just opinion) that the AGT title was hers from the beginning. The battle was for second place. MG probably had the best "story" to go along with being the "winner". I did not watch any of AGT, just youtube videos, but I can't see anyone else who could possibly have beaten Jackie in a fair contest of talent - can you?
@jdhass1 It's been widely assumed that AGT/Cowel(SYCO Music)/The Evancho's did a deal, as she was not going to have the time to headline the AGT Tour (27 stops or so). The AGT Official Rules expressly stae that the show's producer's retain the right to decide the winner without reference to the voting results. That's why they never ever annouce the voting results and have never stated that Grimm won the popular vote.
As I watch her I feel as if a light is glowing all around her and an Angel is singing. She is not a normal little girl. Her body is truly occupied by an Angel.

Beautiful tonal quality but she will not develop the skill or sustain it and enjoy the ultimate richness she's capable of until she learns to sing from her diaphragm and can keep her lower lip from quivering constantly.

@plae8859 I can tell you Michael Grimm has been an opening act for an 80's has been group over the summer, and recently did a 10 day stint at some Vegas casino. His cd after AGT sold 23,000 copies, jackie's went platinum. To sum things up The Angel did more in the last two weeks than Grimm did all year.

@plae8859 Simon Cowell did try to rig AGT but he tried to fix it for Jackie to win.Thats why she was put on last and the other 3 were put on 1st. S.C tries to fix it as after the 1st 3 acts, there were 2 other acts (non finalists) before Jackie was on. S.C was trying to rig the vote by trying to make the viewers forget about the 1st 3 acts before Jackie was about to sing. Then after Jackie sang, the voting would begin, and Simon would hope that everyone would vote for Jackie, Which didn't work.
@JohnMalcolm I don't have any hard evidence but i gamble on such events and it is clear as day (to me and my colleagues) what Simon is up to. What Simon Cowell did in the final was so blatant. He tries to fix Britain's got talent (where im from) but it wasn't as blatant as the press in this country knows what he is trying to do so he cant make it as obvious as he did in this final as (to my knowledge) most of America loves Simon Cowell.

It was no surprise what Simon did and also to put Jackie last which is an easy trick to do if you want a certain act to get more votes. This is because lots of people vote foe the last act as they cannot remember any acts that perform at the start of the show.
She has a lovely voice and should be the next great operatic soprano. I know Jackie loves Sarah Brightman, as do I, but Jackie has a power in her voice that an opera singer, which Sarah does not!

for a long time i thought that america got it wrong not picking jackie for a winner, however now i see it differently. for a 10 year old with contract in las vegas just doesn't sit well with me. also jackie succeeded on her own since in oh so many ways and i wish her all the best.

Well as one set of contestants said on BGT "Chase the DREAM and not the competition" The competition is definately a key tool in the realization of the dream and as young as she is Jackie knows that I am just so happy that she gets to grow with this from a girl to a young lady and then a woman....absolutely fantastic.
I saw Jackie for the second time on wed 08/31 and believe me, if you ever hear her live you will fall in love with her. She has an aura that shines brighter than anyone else I have ever met. To be so great and even more humble...im seriously wondering if she is human. All I know is everytime she sings she makes the world a happier place, and that must drive Satan nuts. Angel Power!!!!!

She is breathing in her upper cavity causing her to use muscles that will not be there is she keeps breathing there. She needs to breath in her mid cavity. Not that it matters a great deal, if at all, but the first soprano to sing Nessun Dorma was actually the remarkable crossover lyric soprano Deanna Durbin, in a film she made in 1943, 'His Butler`s Sister' - it has subsequently been released on cd. Deanna sings it, superbly, in an English version that in spirit at least, is very close to the original Italian lyrics.The clip is available here on YT, & is well worth looking at.

@plae8859 I can tell you Michael Grimm has been an opening act for an 80's has been group over the summer, and recently did a 10 day stint at some Vegas casino. His cd after AGT sold 23,000 copies, jackie's went platinum. To sum things up The Angel did more in the last two weeks than Grimm did all year.

@plae8859 Simon Cowell did try to rig AGT but he tried to fix it for Jackie to win.Thats why she was put on last and the other 3 were put on 1st. S.C tries to fix it as after the 1st 3 acts, there were 2 other acts (non finalists) before Jackie was on. S.C was trying to rig the vote by trying to make the viewers forget about the 1st 3 acts before Jackie was about to sing. Then after Jackie sang, the voting would begin, and Simon would hope that everyone would vote for Jackie, Which didn't work.

@JohnMalcolm I don't have any hard evidence but i gamble on such events and it is clear as day (to me and my colleagues) what Simon is up to. What Simon Cowell did in the final was so blatant. He tries to fix Britain's got talent (where im from) but it wasn't as blatant as the press in this country knows what he is trying to do so he cant make it as obvious as he did in this final as (to my knowledge) most of America loves Simon Cowell.

It was no surprise what Simon did and also to put Jackie last which is an easy trick to do if you want a certain act to get more votes. This is because lots of people vote foe the last act as they cannot remember any acts that perform at the start of the show.
