There is also a CCT Ambulance in Nanaimo "north" as well. The idea is "facility to facility" transport of critical pt's when the Helicopter is not possible for a what ever reason. They have been deployed on street responses locally if ALS is tied up.
CC Transport unit is back up Flight Medic team @ YVR, they are an ALS unit but are trained for extended transports such as air ambulance calls - based out of 59th & Cambie

@starcraftguy1 What fyregeek said. Also, they have a bit more medical rights than ALS. They're pretty rare in BC.

@MidnightPolak--Yeah, CCP is very rare. I think only 29 paramedics are licensed at the CC level.
