  • There is also a CCT Ambulance in Nanaimo "north" as well. The idea is "facility to facility" transport of critical pt's when the Helicopter is not possible for a what ever reason. They have been deployed on street responses locally if ALS is tied up.

  • Wow! I thought CCPs were only flight!

  • @alfaalex101 they do have some cars as well :)

  • Wow ambulances in Canada are way different then here in the U.S.

  • @JKSK8ERLIVE They are actually different throughout canada. BC seems to have it's own unique design. How are they different from the US?

  • @danbeb is this in Van?

  • @JKSK8ERLIVE Yes, this is Vancouver.

  • Wow 4 car decided not to stop F-ing A-holes .....anyway nice video

  • CC Transport unit is back up Flight Medic team @ YVR, they are an ALS unit but are trained for extended transports such as air ambulance calls - based out of 59th & Cambie

  • Cool!

what is a Critical Care Unit?

why is the ambulance design different then most ambulances?

  • @starcraftguy1 What fyregeek said. Also, they have a bit more medical rights than ALS. They're pretty rare in BC.

  • @MidnightPolak--Yeah, CCP is very rare. I think only 29 paramedics are licensed at the CC level.

  • Nice catch! Still not a fan of the BCAS flash pattern...
