Thunderbirds F-100 Super Sabre

This is cool I just found out that where I live we have one of the original F100's that the Thunderbirds used.

can anyone tell me where to find information on my dad who died flying one of these 1961? have tried AFFOIA with no results and an actual lack of information there.

honestly , i feel the thundrbirds flew the best shows in only this airplane, and yes i have seen shows of evey type they have ever flew with.

My Father was an F-100 pilot who went on to be an instructor, teaching a lot of the pilots that ended up going to Vietnam. I've always loved this jet, and I followed his passions, but I was with the F-111's of my time. Sad to see them both go.

Nothing wrong with F-111's, us Australians love seeing them dump and burn..... Not long till we retire them though.

I never realized how pretty a plane the F-100 really was. I bet it was fun too fly. I love the Century Fighters.

I think he means flatplating the F-100. John Boyd used this maneuver frequently when flying the Hun during his time as an instructor at Nellis AFB.
