Sony VAIO VGN-FW340J with Fried burnt LCD inverter

Oh ok cool let me know how it goes, my backlight used to go out randomly and now it's completely gone but I can make out the screen when under light. I've just purchased a new inverter for £10 on ebay for the Ar21m, Will update with the outcome, if not it looks like a new screen as you have.

The screen on my vaio just started to flicker and go out occassionally... i'll perhaps try to change the inverter .. if not then the lamp.. hope it works.

@Deonnh Looks like its the lamp because when it flickers off you can vaguely still see the screens and stuff on the lcd, I just got the replacement screen but haven't put it in yet. So that should fix it.
