It was an accident. The armored vehicle didn't mean to crush the car, both of them slammed on the brakes and tried to avoid the collision as soon as they could see each other.

The problem was an uncontrolled intersection, where eventually there will be a collision.

However, something should be thought through for the future because the passenger was nearly crushed. And I think the army should have replaced the guy's car, if possible for a following vehicle to get his ID safely. Maybe they did.
