1/8/10: Brian Lamb, the C-SPAN CEO, wrote to leaders in the House and Senate Dec. 30 urging them to open "all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings," to televised coverage on C-SPAN, imploring Congress to open up the last leg of health care "reform" negotiations to the public, as some top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to object to the premise behind the request. Sen. Barack Obama first pledged opening up legislative negotiations to C-SPAN cameras during a Democratic presidential primary debate with Sen. Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.

Senator Cornyn, Thank you for fighting so hard to save our Country. You are not though of as being corrupt as all the others appear to be. My family prays every day that God will speak to the good Democrats and make them see this bill is not good for our people and enough of them will vote "NO" on the last vote. Obama is going to have Reid use the 51 vote if there is no other way for him to get this passed. He has to get this CONTROL BILL Done before the 2010 election and he knows it.

Senator Cornyn, I am a Democrat and voted for President Obama. I also spent almost 40 years as a leader in hospitals and medical groups. I agree that this bill does not deliver what is needed. I think the American public can help decide if they are given the options, and time to talk about them. Too much money has been taken out of the healthcare delivery system: it's time to put money back in where it is needed, in the hands of the providers, most of whom want to do the right thing.

I agree with your sentiment, mermaid, but the people in power in Washington have no shame, no personal integrity. They are going to shove this monster (healthcare control) down the throat of the American public. They truly do not know or care about all the damage this legislation will cause. This bill is not about providing healthcare at all; it is about grabbing control. It is about advancing a socialistic agenda, an ungodly agenda that is doomed to failure.
