  • grateful guitar student at Seattle Central. Great to relax and get into practice with.

  • @talonsl007 Great to know, neighbor. Cheers!

  • so i use the blues minor and major scale right

    and the e7 a7 and b7 chords?

  • @guillotinedeath Use the notes that sound right to you, or you can study music theory and the guitar using, "The Guitar Lesson Companion, Volume Two." Good luck!

  • hey what scales work on major blues? E major pentatonic is same as C minor pentatonic right?

  • @guitarismysword1 There are too many scales to mention here; all the notes in the chromatic scale are good, you just have to know how to use them. A lot of beginners like to play an E minor pentatonic scale or a blues scale. You might also try the E major pentatonic scale and see what works in that. If you are a beginner, I'd probably stay away from a C minor pentatonic for a while and try the C# minor pentatonic scale, which gives you the same notes as an E Major Pentatonic scale. Try it all!

  • @guitarismysword1 At the end of the day, you are going to find that focusing on the chord tones in each chord is going to really anchor your solo, and the other notes will give you lots of colors. To learn all your chord tones, scales and theory, check out "The Guitar Lesson Companion, Volume Two." Cheers!

  • well done, thanks

  • nice an cruisy, tempo perfect for practicing licks. thanks

  • I posted these blues jam tracks just for fun, but a lot of people really seem to dig them. What do you like about them and what would you like me to improve about them?
