  • Love this! RIP xx

  • wish I could have been there :(

  • @nanctopher24, I love your description of his voice - you just nailed it. I am so sorry for your loss - both your husband & Elliott are true "angels."

  • Although the Big Star original is lovely, this is a song that seemed written especially for Elliott. He expresses the feelings of first love so shyly, with a hint of uncertainty that's heartbreaking. Truly, there will never be another like him. He could express with a single, gentle guitar strum, an amazing host of feelings. Pure genius.

  • i miss him, and i miss people like him

  • I have chills...

  • Heard Needle In The Hay on the Royal Tenenbaums and that's all it took for me to be hoplessly in love with this music.

  • Can you hear the absolute cock wads in the audience or is it just me?

  • just heard that from that 70's show

  • and i do like elliott smith, at least i know that he made a lot of very sad people happy, and i think that's great, good for elliott smith, now leave me the fuck alone please

  • WUTS THE DIFERENCE? LOL

  • Get the audio from this tune at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • you know ive been listening to elliott smith for sooooooo long trying to figure out why everyone likes him so much, i have literally spent like 2 years listening to him on and off WISHING i could see what it is that make poeple LOVE him, and i CANT, i've listened to every record, they're all good, they all have good songs but they don't make me cry and they definately dont make me feel the way they make other people feel, so what is it? do i have to be like a very damaged person to apprec him?

  • @dvzqz87 this cover IS very good btw, but in general

  • @dvzqz87 okay.... but if you don't like him go listen to something else. I don't see your point. This isn't radio or tv, you get to choose, so go listen to your crap and let Elliott R.I.P

  • @dvzqz87 To be brutally honest man, I usually don't waste much of my time responding to ignorant posts like yours but yours is an exception: You must have had the good life if you can't even shed a tear to any of his music, because a lot of Elliott's music has a lot to do with the ups and mostly downs in his life. So if you ain't got those downs then go listen to All Time Low or something. PS if you've been listening to him for two years...then I'm pretty sure you love him, ya numb nuts

  • @hakah1717 if you really didn't like my comment you probably should have just ignored it, maybe it made you feel little better about yourself to reply the way you just did calling me ignorant and what not, and maybe it made you feel superior to me for a second, and if it did? well i guess that's your business and you can feel however the way you want to feel, anyways, i simply posulated a question, do you have to be really damaged or fucked up to appreciate his music to a point where it makes

  • @dvzqz87 you cry, i think it's pretty reasonable thing to ask, all i knew about elliott smith before i ever listened to him was that people loved him in a way that most people don't love other artists, i think it's fair to say that you probably do need to have been a little screwed up to fully appreciate what his music was all about, i don't understand why this offends people so much to ask it, you people act like i'm killing babies or something by asking this question, fucking ignore me if

  • it really bothered you that much

  • @dvzqz87 That's a question where you'll have to go into deeper thinking: if a listener is emotionally imbalanced or even if the listener is a 100% mentally and physically healthy, you should run a trial and error test and figure out yourself. Don't come to a dead man's youtube song and try looking all cool and shit questioning his talent and ability to touch people through his music by asking his fans do you have to be damaged to listen to him.. you started the insults with your implication \m/

  • i love this guy!!!

    RIP ELLIOTT <3 XO

  • His best cover! RIP

  • rip!!

  • i actually discovered elliott smith through the movie paranoid park... rented the movie randomly. i pretty much closed my eyes and grabbed one off the shelf. funny how things work out :)

  • only Elliott can take any song and make it better. like waterloo and beatles covers... better than the real thing

  • You are truely the only artist I can completely relate to. Your music gives me goosebumps and makes me smile at the same time.

Elliott, I love you, and miss you <3
