i hav a jackrussel love her so much shes my baby! but i dont wanna breed her cus shes so timid an scared ov evrythin (she was treated badly as a pup) do u think its wrong not 2 ever breed them?
luvly video nearly started cryin at the stilborn tho so sad! x
aww her pups are beautiful, lovely markings on them and i love ginny, at the end with her ear folded back, thats what happends to my jack everyday!! how old was she when she had pups ? i think i saw u wrote 9 months? are you sure she was because thats incredibly young i cant belive it was that young becasue she totally knew what she was doing, not acting like the puppy she still is (at 9 months) and all the pups and herself were totally fine?! im waiting till 2 years of age beofre my jack whelps
@FablePeach Hi there. Yeah, unfortunately she got pregnant when she was 9 months old. I was on holiday when she was on heat and did not separate her from my male jack. But she took it pretty well. Still, it isbetter to breed your dogs after they turn 2 which is when they are fully grown adults. Good luck!
@fatalattraction84 yeah, thats when im doing with my jack, but i still cant belive u got away with it unharmed at all (the dogs not you lol) she is a lovely dog and im glad for you and her that your all fine :)
Aaaah this video is amazing!!! very sad about the lil still born, but nature does take course, and things do happen! i have a Jack Russell and she is my life, i hope one day when she has pups its just as special!! Hope you Jackie is healthy and Happy!! thanx for the video!! ;-)
It's great, my jack russell is HOPEFULL 4 1/2 weeks pregnant, if she has a boy we should keep it :-D I can't wait! And about the still born, it's normal, if she hadn't been there she would have eaten it anyway, it's good for the dogs, you shouldn't stop them.
well although it wasnt pleasant to watch, im glad the stillborn bit was shown. my bitch tilly is due any day and after watching this it has prepared me, so thankyou
If you don't know that dogs and OTHER ANIMALS eat their own stillborn because it is NORMAL, PART OF NATURE & IS VERY HEALTHY FOR THE MOTHER, please read more books and watch more National Geographic. You think the camera man of National Geographic will take a stillborn away from a lioness before she eats it or stop filming?
@fatalattraction84 Aaaah this video is amazing!!! very sad about the lil still born, but nature does take course, and things do happen! i have a Jack Russell and she is my life, i hope one day when she has pups its just as special!! Hope you Jackie is healthy and Happy!! thanx for the video!! ;-)
I think that it was very sick to see her eat her pup.. but on that note people that are putting u down don't have the right too. It is normal for them to do that and most other animals do it too. If u really think about it if you were not there when she had gave birth you would have never know that she would have had seven but cause you were you happened to see it.. It is all a part of the circle of life.. grow up all u rude f**ks.. well done on the video
Ionacan I agree with you! Why did you guys let her? Why didn't you just take it away or cut out the part 'cuse I cried when I saw that!!! Its also REALLY gross! but otherwise it was cute. I know its usual for it to happen but still. I cried!!! So seriously next time she gives birth, DON"T RECORD IT!!!!!!
Don't worry about the comments from the 2 year olds on here. Does anyone know that they are from the wolf family.. Guess what happens in the wild? You don't want to know! It's their natural instinct and is part of life. Cats do this too.
lol... Heartless? Do some research, dummy. THIS is not a disney cartoon... This is a real birth! This does happen sometimes. Not a fairy tail birth, eh?
Omg how can you let your dog eat the pup, you should have helped her, im an animal lover and i have 2 jacks, i would never let that to happen, you should not be even alowed to have a dog.
@ilonacan....actually its normal for bitches to eat their dead puppies since they sense something like its dead and it was just trying to avoid suffering.
You obviously don't care about your dog. It is absolutly discusting and barbaric that you let her eat her stillborn puppy. You have absolutly no right to have dogs when that is the way that you treat them. You shouldn't be breading them eather. You are the most crule person that has ever lived. I think that you should be banned for life from keeping any animal.
kk sparklymoonbeam, please learn how to spell before making such bold accusations.
Yes, it is heartbreaking but dont accuse the owners of something natural happening.
The dam sensed that there was something wrong with that one particular pup and ate it.
They're dogs, and its very common for this to happen. So next time before saying its "disgusting and barbaric" research the process of whelping and learn how to spell "breEding".
fuck u u stupid bastard. i have been breeding dogs for 18 years so dont presume to tell me that i dont know what im talking about. as for my spelling i was using my mobile phone when i posted comment and it wasnt working properly. i know about dogs. at the moment i own 6 breeding pairs of staffordshire bull terriers ant 3 pairs of breeding rotwilers. so i think i know what i am doing ok. do u can fuck off u stupid ignorant useless bastard. go back to suking your mothers boobies. u fucked up cunt
You're the one thats being barbaric and using cuss words while I, am using simple logic to contradict you.
How old are you? 43 ? Did you even obtain a proper education? Wow, you're cussing at a person who is likely half your age here. Who is the one being immature? "do u can fuck off u stupid ignorant useless bastard" was that typed using a mobile phone too? LOL.
@sparklymoonbeam so just cause u have that many dogs u think u know it all well if they were to give birth away from the home and they had one it would eat it and nothing u can do.. But doesn't make her a bad person for not stopping the dog.. I think your very immature time to grow up act like an adult and worry about your own dogs
But sometimes, the afterbirth does not comes just after the puppy has been born, sometimes some of them comes later, and if thats happends, so wait a little to see if she would eat it... And if she dosen`t when she had the chance, then u can take it away...
Yes, its an afterbirth! There is an afterbirth for every single puppy, its very important for the mother to eat them (The afterbirths) , so she can produce milk to the puppies....
hey its ilovejackrussells102 under a different name my dog cookie gave birth to 3 puppies actually 4 1 was stillborn but thanks she gave birth 3 days after i commented! she did great with the stillborn and the 1st puppy but she had 2 get a cesarian for the others thanks though!
you can clearly see the umblical cord is attached to what she eats from the puppy she given birth too...it a huge afterbirth and it is not white like the puppies when they come out
i need to know how long Jack Russells are pregnant because i want to get one and if they ever get pregnant i need to know how long so i am home for a while like a week b4 her birth somethin like that
Dogs are pregnant for 9 weeks from the day they mate. So you have to watch out when they start mating and you can start counting. 24 hours before she is about to give birth, your dog will loose her appetite and her temperature will go down. She will always stay in her bed or nest and she might start trembling. Just watch out for unusual behaviour and it'll tell you she's about to give birth in the next 24 hours. Good luck!
Fantastic video our JR is having her first litter in a few weeks so this was also helpful for us to see.Good luck with your pups well done Ginny thanks for sharing.
i guess some vets would say she's too young but i guess it depends on ur dog... how healthy she is & if she's well fed during her pregnancy. Ginny was 9 months old when she got pregnant and she did well.

it is not a still born...its the after birth and mothers eat it because it contains nutrients which help her milk when she suckles her young.

how tiny is she? usually a dog can give birth naturally despite what size it is. Smaller dogs give birth to lesser puppies. The more important issue is the age of your dog. Usually your vet would advise that your dog should be at least 2 years old to give birth safely because their uterus is more developed. A younger dog will face more health issues or even survive if they get pregnant too young. However, my dog was accidentally pregnant when she was only 9 months old but she survived it.
