@DaynNightGaming I don't really get what you're saying. You can't make wrong descisions. You can fail a quest, then get another quest and twist your story a little. I think it's sweet.

Well, thats what I try to do.. but I always, ALWAYS (beep) it up :/

For example if I create an Elementalist, and it ask me which my favorite element is, I would probably say water, but after a while I would most definetly change my mind to air or earth.

What I HATE about games like Skyrim is that when you chose a perk, you are stuck with it. I gave up Skyrim cause I made wrong decisions all the time and I dont wanna create a new character and start over..

@DaynNightGaming Dont worry no matter what skill you pick are perk. It can be change, so even if you mess up your character build it will be okay, since it easy to fix.

Now for the story line, their no wrong decision, their no better decision.

Each one just take you down a different story path.

Answering confusing questions during characters creation with no idea on outcome of those questions seems counterproductive to the rest of ArenaNets brilliant design ideas. But, maybe I'm reading too much into this part of the creation, and they intentionally want you to answer truthfully with only the provided information(none) to create a personal storyline.

I would like to see something about character creation. I've heard alot about how this can effect your "Personal Story" quite a lot? I know for example a Charr will be asked questions like what member are you part of... *Iron legion, ect. ect. but there hasnt been much info about what are the options you can choose from when being asked and how it will effect the story you will later play. please enlighten me! :D

@MrIMajella How your anwers will later affect your story is something they cannot reveal without spoilering too much ;) for example, if you choose a sylvari the questions will be:what time of day you were born, which quest you've dreamed during the Dream and what is the most important of Ventari's lessons. @MRGrumpyHD You'll be scaled to the level of the content you're participating in. So if you've gotten to 80 in WvW and decide to start on your story, you'll become a "virtual" level 5 (or whatever it actually is).

I run on an HiS Radeon 5870, i can get all settings and shadows ultra in modern games and still run 60fps on a 27inch 1080p monitor.

If i were you id consider a 6970.

But you will be able to get ultra settings on guildwars 2 no problem with your card.

The only reason ppl buy nvidia is 3d and physx, and the 7k series amd cards do hd3d and physx is only on a tiny tiny portion of games. and you can still play them without physx.

@bsmith85282 You should be fine, guildwars 2 does not exclusively run high end physics engines, And graphically its built to run on older computers nearly 6 years old.

The video cards at the demo's were nvidia 210 series, you cant order them anymore.

Any video card from this year will totally kill the game, and any card 3 years old now should run it fine at least without shadow depending on the card.

Nvidia used to be the only 3d card, but now amd can do it too, there is almost no difference.

But is it windows vista? or xp? you might want to invest in a 64 bit version.

You would have no problem if shadows were low, might get like 30-50fps.

Anything over 30 is perfect.

just as long as i can play on this computer ill be happy.

ive never really turned on shadows in games anyways so ill be content with them off

The part of MMO's losing their touch with Person Story is so true its scary. If you look at MMO's these days, all everyone does is grind or get PLed to the top level, then start doing the big missions, question and event etc. I'm glad I can do alot more in GW2 then just grind to max level to do great things. The great events start at level 1! and don't end even at level 80! And the person story is just another great part, person i'll mostly be on it when my friends aint online to chill alone.

@GW2Excitement I can confirm that it will at least run guild wars 2. Arena net has stated that mid-range gaming PCs will be able to run guild wars 2. In addition they stated at a panel that the graphics card they use to run guild wars 2 is highly outdated, so ATI 5770 should run superbly.

@Showdovn To make it a choice. If you want to min-max your character, you don't always wanna have to RP. And if you want to roleplay, you don't always want to think about what choice benefits you the most in combat, rather than picking what you feel is right for the character.
