i decided to quit nearly two years ago and havent felt better since.. i still hang around people who occasionally drink but the thought doesnt cross my mind.. id rather have my memories and no hangover :) to anyone who thinks its not a problem or too common to give up.. ur kidding urself!!! alcohol is one of the worst drugs out there and difficult to stop using because its endorsed by everyone... if i can do it ( i was drinking alone by age 16 ) you can do it, trust me!!
Great video. I have been sober for 5 months after being a daily drinker for a long time. I went to about 4 AA meetings but decided I couldn't drink the kool aid. It's not the message that turned me off but the people.
I think it comes down to different people having different needs.
Hmmmm... should I also quit eating so much food, perhaps I should write down the pro and con's and then see if I can get help from someone? Someone who really knows about addiction to food. Hmmm... I can't see who can possibly help me here?
if you write down the pros and cons of drinking, and write down the pros and cons of quitting ... help you so be it ......... how about if your watching this video its because you clicked it and are questioning your booze intake and may have a problem .............................. so QUIT .... theres your answer just quit !
AA is great for fellowship and having a free tool that can be fitted for each individual. I have some major reservations about AA and the disease model, but I love the support.
And I'll use ANY tool that can help me stay sober; thanks for the vid
aa has let me down on three occasions where over a three year period i icalled on my knees beging for help in the day by the way when i was sober and was let down by the person on the phone trying to give disjointed help i now three years later dont know if i can beat this fuckin thing that brings me only missery

Thanks for the advice bud...I managed to stay off the stuff for well over 9 years now. I didn't get drinker's nose, luckily.

Good advice and it makes too much sense. Watch out for the AA nutbars.
