3/32 gasket spacing is fine ... should work well ... I get good results anwhere between 1/8 and 1/16 ... you are right in between ...

check the way you will connect your electrical to the plates and make sure you wont need to cut the corner off your gasket so you can get the female spade connector to fit on the notch in the plate ...
