Lovely knock, I remember listening to this on the radio when I was at school. Great captain too, he instilled a lot of discipline and self-belief into the side. After the horror English cricket went through in 1999, he was just what we needed. Thanks Nasser!

@kofydnb Seriously?? Now Hussain was a good enough batsman and a fine captain, but the best English skipper ever?

Has he got something on men like F.S.Jackson, Illingworth and Brearley? I must also add here that Brian Close's understanding of the game was second to no one's.
