was at RTC great lakes july 2003 Division 311. I forget the ship, we moved from the old ships to the nice big, air conditioned ones. Was seperated for medical-retinal tear, right eye. Seperation ship was ok at first, but 2.5 weeks there gets old quick. Avoid medical as the other person said, cuz if the doc writes you for sep due to medical your out! Navy seems to be one of the toughest when it comes to medical. BTW i've neverhad any problems with my eye since, pisses me off. Haze fukin grey.
I was there from June 24th 08 - August 7th 08. I ended up tearing my ACL and got discharged. Division 301 - Ship 5. Boot camp wasn't bad, Ship 17 (Separations) was awful though! Anyone that is planning on going, do as you're told. AVOID MEDICAL! Stay strong and do as you're told and you'll do fine.
Great pics by the way. Brings back memories haha. - I may join the Army now if they'll let me in since the Navy wants me to have surgery first. Otherwise I'd go back there.
you know what I am joining navy and I was sad about bootcamps but with watching this video I am ready to go and get my graduation and march to the flag and come back to home (Washington, Kennewick) and to my family with my dear uniform.
it is a really really nice video I am going to join this year I love navy and watching the graduation videos are making me more crazy about bootcamps I know about hardness but I love navy as much as I love my life.
My Boyfriend is in Great Lakes IL too. He Graduates the 19th of this month!! I can't wait. I am so proud of him. He has come a long way. Division #347 Ship 13

You will always be needed...the recruiters love to hear from anyone interested even if you are not of age yet. Have you spoken with them? All the best to you and thanks for your willingness to serve!
What a nice video...You brought back memories from not to long ago when I was doing that same thing!! Mine graduated April 13th, and now he is in WA. Having the time of his life!! Good Luck to your Nephew.....God Bless All Our Troops!!
This made me cry! How proud you must be! I especially loved the baby pics of your son in the sailor outfits. My daughter is in GL right now, ship 07, div 352. On her first birthday her dress was a sailor dress!
Actually, this is my nephew. My sister made these videos of his graduation & I uploaded them for her. I liked the photos of his sailor outfits through the years too. We ARE very proud of him and the thousands of others who are serving or have given their lives for the rest of us. Thanks for your kind words...
my boyfriend is there right now. he just left on the 14th.
