nice trick but wouldnt it be more useful to develop accelerometer bracelets or a wrist bands that allow control... in an applied situation out in the world there is no xbox kinnect camera following you around.... (just one engineer to another)

this tech is useless. Body, face and movement recognition will be very powerful in the future, but not to control flying machines!! the same thing for some projetcs thinking people will manage files, write emails and use computers in general with body movement interfaces, thats stupid...

wii and kinetic are fun to play with, not to use like the ultimate human iface for everything ...

When MS first launched Kinect it was hacked immediately, and MS released a press statement saying that that was a good thing, because they want people to see how good the tech was and what it could do. And it's one thing to say MS hasn't come up with brilliant new tech in the last couple years, but you really can't say they're not an innovative company.

@GuMpAkC no no it's a VTOL actually and it's classified as a motorcycle for street use. It has electric motors that let you drive it on the road as well. On top of that it's completely GPS driven. You don't drive it yourself, it drives you based on your destination and the path of "air roads" it actually even uses rotary motors not unlike the motors in a couple of mazda vehicles.
