  • ur so gr8 thnx alot :)

  • Hi,

A nice idea would be to put the chocolate into a glass and then just dip the banana in and shake off the excess :)

  • nice video betty

  • I think the bananas are much better when they're ripe when the starch has turned to sugar (brown speckled).

  • why not drizzel white cho. on it that would be nice

  • i love you

  • Sure do enjoy your videos. :-)

  • Love it! In Oklahoma we call these Monkey Tails. :-)

  • @watermelonridge Monkey Tails is a cute name! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Still i <3 your cooking!!

  • @najahvibrant Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • what is that lemon juice for ?

  • @yaomai25 It keeps the bananas from turning brown.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen oooh thank you! it's because we're planning to make a chocolate dipped banana for our project in school ^^ thanks again :))

  • @yaomai25 You're welcome! I hope you enjoy making the chocolate-dipped bananas!

    --Betty :)

  • Try putting some coconut oil in the chocolate next time, it will thin out the chocolate and it will make it easier for the chocolate to solidify on the banana.

  • @attemptingtobehumble That is a great idea! Thanks for the wonderful tip!

    --Betty :)

  • the 2 people that disliked have no taste in quality food

  • @BRixx95 I hope you enjoy the bananas! Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • @Alexskitchen99 No, it doesn't, but if you are concerned about that, you can blot them with paper toweling when you are ready to use them in the recipe.

    --Betty :)

  • it's a drowzee,according to chugaaconroy

  • Toward the end did you say we should "Summon" our spoons up to greet our chocolate covered banannas? If so that is Epic, Makin cooking cool.

  • mmm... sounds great i'm going 2 make some probably but i have 2 get some wax paper when i go 2 the groccery store tonight .

  • @misteeq64 That sounds good!

    --Betty :)

  • Looks like a great recipe to make with my grandchildren when they are here visiting or staying with me :) They would prolly enjoy these very much being they are a bunch of lil monkeys anywayz lol :-)~ Thanx 4 posting & sharing with us here! Think I will try this with them on their next overnight visit here with me! :) {HUGZ} Betty!

  • This ice cream shop has these, and cherry chocolate bananas :)

  • @kdai2012 Yummm Cherry Chocolate sounds really good. I wonder how u would get the combination of cherry & chocolate for them, do u have any idea?

  • @1970sarteaga When the frozen bananas are dipped in the chocolate, dip them in finely minced maraschino cherries. Then put them back in the freezer to let the set up.

    --Betty :)

  • @1970sarteaga I honestly have no idea, maybe cherry flavoring? Or cherry juice maybe? :)

  • They are suppose to have speckles!!!!! the brown speckles is the sugar!

  • @Malloryrocks21able Exactly... the sugar leaves the banana genius

  • yep

  • Comment removed

  • @Malloryrocks21able You want more sugar in the banana

  • Looks good !!

  • @MrsObsidianCurls That is so sweet! Thanks for letting me know that you and your son enjoy my recipes,

    --Betty :)

  • Interesting, they are called "chocobananos" here in Guatemala. They are a common dessert you could just buy anywhere. Of course you are doing a more refined version of if but they taste just awesome on a summer afternoon. Thanks for sharing.

  • @DietervonLust lol i know its very common !!...thats exactly what i was gonna say...

  • mmmm I am going to try this for sure!

betty you have great recipes but just as a suggestion.... on your main channel page is there a way to group all the desserts in one category, appetizers in another etc? sometimes I have such a hard time going back through all the videos to find a recipe that you did because i can't remember the name.

  • I love these! I used to buy these in the frozen food section but this is much better and less expensive

  • yummy!

  • mmmm white chocolate frozen bananas :)

  • it look like a Chocolate ice cream

  • Love this!! Thankyou!

  • I love the way you say VARIETY. I have never heard of using that word in that way before. You are from the South though. I'm sure i say some words that you haven't heard either. I love your recipes. I think i'll make some tonight :) Thanks Betty for all the wonderful recipes :)

  • Yumm! I have always wanted to make these and now I have a recipe that I can trust 101%

  • very cool.... nice recipe.... ;)

  • @memyselfandINICH If they are semi sweet, they should have the same flavor, and the Baker's chocolate squares melt well, so I think they would be fine!

    --Betty :)

  • omg Betty this looks incredible.

  • yummy yummy yummy!

  • great video!

  • I need to seriously try this out, Please send some over to Toronto !!

  • Thank you very much, Betty. That would be a healthy alternative to ice cream bars for children.

  • MMM, these are great, I do the same thing except when the chocolate is still wet i sprinkle mini M&Ms on them or chocolate sprinkles.. they actually sell these pre made in the frozen section and they also sell a kit that includes the chocolate and the popsicle sticks.

  • Betty, in what other way can you melt the chocolates because I don't have the pot for it.

  • @yohana4825 You can melt it in a microwave, or just use a regular pot or saucepan over very low heat, stirring so that it does not stick or clump. Adding a tiny amount of oil helps.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen haha i have thought of that... but metal bowl is too small and i have no small pots...

  • @bettyskitchen thank you so much ;)

  • @yohana4825 I imagine you could also place a metal bowl over a boiling pot if you have one that fits.

  • @TehKitteh01 theres a video on youtube teahing you how to do it in a metal pot.

  • @yohana4825 you can put a strainer over the pot and then put a regular eating bowl on top, or you can just float a regular bowl in boiling water like a boat :D

  • @irbenson thanks....

  • I'm going to make these with my grandchildren. I bet they would be good with shredded coconut, too.

  • I bet you could use shredded coconut as a garnish, too. this is going to be a treat my grandchildren and I will enjoy making and sharing.

  • my kids LOVE chocolate dipped bananas, but I have never thought to do the peanutbutter thing! What a great idea! Thanks!

  • This looks great, I have to try that!

I made something similar before, with popcorn. While the chocolate is still soft, you roll the whole thing in crushed popcorn. Then its cooled, not frozen. Very tasty, too! And it looks nice too.

Now I`ll try the frozen version :)

  • To melt the peanut butter chips, did you add anything to help it melt?

  • @MissPopularCulture No, I just used them straight from the bag.

    --Betty :)

  • Wow...awesome snack loooove it!! :)

  • Thank you for the recipe. I was wondering, why the need for lemon juice if you're dipping it in chocolate anyway?

  • @JennyBMoon It's just to keep the bananas from turning brown while I work on them. If you move quickly and are not doing a lot of bananas, you won't need it.

    --Betty :)

  • ooh yummy three of my favorite foods put together! LOVE it! :)

  • Chocolate covered nuts and raisins are awesome too, I love Chocolate covered walnuts

  • No offence, but id throw the banana away and eat the chocolate.

  • they look delicious! i love your recipes! Thanks for sharing Betty<3

  • Betty! you rock ! i love ur recipes am trying them :DD

  • I bet Carter would like those Bananas!!

  • Omg! I want to make these now!!! A good thing to remember though is that if you have sensitive teeth then these are VERY hard to eat frozen, considering that you actually have to bite them.

  • @xchamorrobrox Thanks for your nice comment, and also thanks for the warning--you are right about these being hard to eat because they are very hard!

    --Betty :)

  • betty you should show us how to make beef jerky

  • can you make more dessert videos? i love your dessert videos :)

  • @EllyKSaysHi Look for a special pie and a special treat in the next few days in bettyskitchen!

    --Betty :)

  • Rolled in chopped nuts!!! The kind they use for sundaes! num!!!!

  • if you put a little shortening in your chocolate, i think it would cover your bananas more evenly. just a thought!

  • @IanzGurrl every time i log onto youtube there is a new bettyskitchen vid, she's putting them up at least every 2 days. videos take lots of time and betty has a life!

  • @brandilyon i seriously don't appreciate the sarcasm in ur response... especially when i wasn't even talking to u, but whatever.... with that said, i know betty has a life and i know she uploads way more than the average youtuber, i was simply remarking on her change, is all. i got used to seeing her daily and the change is difficult for me since i'm such a big betty fan. why u felt u had to unnecessarily defend her or get cross with me, is beyond me. an aplogy would be nice.....

  • @IanzGurrl i don't think i need to apologize for what i said. i didn't use sarcasm or rudeness in my comment. all i said was that she is uploading videos every other day. IMHO you're the rude one.

  • @brandilyon oh, honey, i wasn't holding my breath for an apology. people like u have blinders on and i knew that even before i wrote u a response =)

  • @IanzGurrl you can think whatever you want to think about someone you've had ONE exchange with over something silly like youtube. have a nice day i guess.. ha

  • @brandilyon youtube may be silly to you, but i take betty seriously. she is an amazing cook and i appreciate her videos enough to not let u ruin them for me. i do thank u for your well wishes, though =)

  • Those look great, did the half bag cover all four, just curious?

  • @Robind0514 Yes, the half-bag covered four half-bananas generously.

    --Betty :)
