  • Nepotism & Corrupted rajapukse mother fuckers

  • Nepotism & Corrupted Judges in Military Tribunal. Case postponed to 6th April. When the Fonseka court marshall proceedings commenced lawyers representing Gen. Fonseka raised a preliminary objection against the judges of the military tribunal. The lawyers pointed out that Maj. Gen. H.L. Weeratunga, the president of the tribunal is the brother-in-law of the present Commander of the Army, Maj. Gen. D.R.B. Jayatilleke is an officer demoted and Maj. Gen. A.L.R. Wijetunga guilty for tender dealing

  • This ape was once in the opposition and crossed over in order to get a ministry. Ours is definitely not a civilized nation.

  • 1.Sri Lanka monks back arrested ex-army chief. Leaders of Sri Lanka's influential Buddhist clergy backed opposition demands Sunday for the immediate release of former army chief and defeated presidential candidate Sarath Fonseka.

Top monks of all key sects as well as the guardians of the island's holiest shrine, the Temple of The Tooth, made a joint appeal to President Mahinda Rajapakse to free Fonseka, who was taken into military custody last week.

  • 2"Under no circumstances can we endorse the arrest of a war hero who delivered the country from the clutches of terrorists," the monks said in a letter to MR, a copy of which was seen by AFP.

As the battlefield architect of the victory over the Tamil Tiger rebels last May, Fonseka was feted for finally crushing their 37-year campaign for an independent Tamil homeland.

The state-run radio station reacted by warning the monks against dabbling in politics and becoming an opposition mouthpiece.

  • We urge government to release General Fonseka immediately. Do no take advantage from alleged political involvement during presidential campaign and apply military rules on him. Sri Lanka is a democratic country and we respect different political views. Do not preach military laws in Sri Lanka. People must rise up against arrest of General. He saved our lives, we will fight for his life. He played a crucial role in defeating LTTE. Do not harrass him. Stop nepotism. Release General Now!

  • I think that the GOV. is behind it !. but executing the arrest is correct for what he was telling the International... but if it is to gain political Advantage then it is bad!!!....

  • and in the military there is no democracy if a commissioned or retired officer is being arrested he or she is not been told as for what he or she as committed to be arrested!... so now SF being court Martial IS a serious deal man ! that means he is FUCKED very badly!... If MR and the Government is not a part of this arrest then for what he told it is justified but hard to think like that !

  • He wasn't told of the offence which means he was arrested violating his FR rights. Court should act on this illegal arrest. MR has failed to plan it so smoothly. Now see what the result it IF there's a law in this country which I doubt.

  • AM NOT A MR supporter ,... but Looking at this in a Military point of view for what SF told letting the side down ( the Army ) was actually wrong cus he should realize that if he plans to testify to the international that our army committed war crimes then his ASS is also in trouble!... and also as a general who retired less than a years time has to adhere to the army law of keeping silence without letting out any secrets!... to use them against the army or the country!!...

  • Exactly. He never said he's gonna testify against the army. All he said was, I'm ready to give evidences against war criminals which any lawful citizen shd do to protect the democracy. If you get arrested bcoz of that, indirectly it proves that ppl who committed war crimes are trying to shut his mouth or intimidate him to cover up what they did.

  • This is the truth MR 2

The same way if Sarath Fonseka was elected the majority of the Swan supporters would not have tolerated any move to send President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Bogambara. After all here is the president under whose regime we won the war. Forget about nepotism and other charges he should be treated with some respect they would have thought.

    Ours is a civilized nation.

  • @NoEalamInSL- Forget about nepotism and other charges??? You are a typical Sri Lankan. You cannot forget about charges just abecause he is president and do you call this a civilized nation?. It seems you have not heard of civilized nations the law should apply equally to everyone. Mahinda Rahjapakse has committed so many crimes for which he will one day have to pay dearly.

  • This is the truth MR!

Feb 10 (DM) An overwhelming majority of people who voted for Mahinda Rajapaksa at the January 26 polls did not want General Sarath Fonseka to be arrested. The thinking was Ok he has been acting stupid during the last two months but he is the man who led the Sri Lanka Army in the security forces epic victory over the LTTE. Since the General was not seen as presidential material they decided to side with the incumbent President.

  • Me mona huttekda? moo danne ne there is a Militory Police in Army, but coming front in media to pada arinna, Who cares this fools. Leave Sri Lanka ASAP, the dogs are taken full control over Lions. Lions should get out and get together to fuck the dogs.

  • this is how politics in srilanka.when can we proudly say we are srilankan?pls pls go home minister without open ur ugly mouth.pls

  • If MR is so much abided by the law, then why not he allow war crime investigations. If he tries SF for court martial for minor matters, then MR must be prepared to investigate war crimes. everyone must be treated equally according to law. Do not let it blow out of proportion.

"The Army sources said when he became the Commander of the Army, he has removed all the documents which gave details of the all those inquiries against him from his personal files"

  • Karuna raja gedara SF hiragedara!

    Release SF!

  • Karma has a long arm.Long live Velupillai Prabakaran!SA Tamil

  • we do not have any chages against sf when arrested. but we know what to do to him...

  • hang sf as soon as possible. then get rid of sirasa.

then we are a free nation...

  • aney buruwa. do u need that shit smelling ITN and rupavahini to be spreading shit all across the country and then people smelling that shit and says it smells so good. i know thats wat MR and his hooligans need, so that they can do watever shit and be protected under the shit spread by ITN and rupavahini. pls find some other country for god sake and leave this country for us to live safe and happy. ppl like u have no values, no morals.. just a menace and a curse to this country..

  • ane hutto mona hutte katada do issara hodai dan narakai ane keheliyo thoge putha hadaganin seratama kalin

  • In an interview, Gota said SF attempted to subvert a democratically elected government, war crimes probe targeting SL political and military leaderships, deterioration of discipline and professionalism among fighting forces and covert as well as overt operations directed against the LTTE, reveal of recent extradition of a top LTTE leader, who had been in charge of arms procurement and finances to Colombo in keeping with an understanding with an influential South East Asian country.

  • I vote MR before but I never ever expect this type of Hitler control. we can't face tamil people because of these things in Sri Lanka. Who will be the next hitler in the world ??? some one will nominate very soon in Sri Lanka. World has to stop this !!!!

  • Its a issue of trust and attitubes between Gota and SF. Govt is affraid of war crime evidence of SF against Gota. Gota has nothing done wrong. Terrorists were killed. There can be unintentional casualties. No war crimes investigations. Time given LTTE for surrender. SFdeserves credit of war. SF should not reveal any military issues. JVP, UNP should not take sides of west to betray the govt. Make a deal that nothing against ech other. Withdraw all accusations. Start new. Release General Fonseka!

  • "Sarath Fonseka was arrested under to the Military Act. This was revealed by Defence Spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella. He was addressing journalists at the Media Centre for National Security.

The Minister said that he was arrested under the Military Act 57 (1) where even a retired military officer can be taken into custody if he had divulged secrets or acted against the government while serv ing in the Army"

How come a terrorist who killed surrendered 600 police officers could be a Govt Min?

  • Feb 10 (AFP) UN chief Ban Ki-moon is alarmed by the arrest of Sri Lankas defeated presidential candidate Sarath Fonseka and urged Colombo to guarantee his safety, his spokesman said. UN spokesman Martin Nesirky said Ban is following developments in Sri Lanka with concern and urged Colombo authorities to follow due process of law and provide all necessary protections (for Fonseka) and guarantees to his safety."

  • The Hindu: Set General Fonseka free!

If the combined forces of the opposition in Sri Lanka showed appalling political judgment in fielding retired Army general Sarath Fonseka as their presidential candidate, the government has returned the favour through an act that is as miscalculated and reckless as it is authoritarian and ugly. The decision to arrest and court martial the former Army Chief, and the manner in which his arrest was carried out, has shocked everyone who values democracy.
