  • looks good

  • wow! you bend much dirts in the hole! amazing

  • I FUCKING LOVE MINECRAFT :D

all jokes aside, 6/10. work on the texture for the whole since it seems to follow the camera instead of staying locked.

  • You can find this kind of holes in hungary!

  • track texture too :p

  • someone needs to stick their texture to their model ;)

  • The model sucks , tracking is ok

  • Very good work! I wan't to use this effect in a video soon. I have never hear of Boujou or Effects lab though.

  • its a pothole

  • psh. totally photoshopped. XD

  • perfect tracking, but the modeling isn't the best. I don't work in 3D much, so I can't say I could do better. I just wanted to point out that that's the only place I see that could be improved upon.

    Also, 720x480 isn't HD. It's SD. 720p is 1280x720.

  • 5 Stars!

    5 Estrellas!

  • hey wat is Boujou for

  • Basically what Boujou does, it tracks. It tracks 2d video images, into 3d. So when Boujou tracks the frame from 2d to 3d you can then import your tracking information into like 3ds max...and apply 3d objects into your video file scene...giving off the illusion the object is really there.

  • Wow.. I am just trying to learn to do basic stuff with AE but this is beyond cool.

  • @kajiki89

basically boujou analyzes the 2D Video images and fake a virtual camera that moves exactly as possible the same way like the real camera (the footage came from) With this virtuel Camera u can work in any 3D software to do the illusion

  • @kajiki89

is it possible to use Cinema4D in stead of 3Ds Max

  • @SimonKarman You can use any 3D program you want. All that you need to do is use the camera tracking data that you get from Boujou to drive the 3D camera motion in your 3D program so that the motion matches your live action footage (the process is called matchmoving).

  • @kajiki89 Oh so thats how its done! I was looking for an explanation on how people get 3d objects into a video! I mean I was thinking u just make the 3d object and manually track it an adjust it or something but it might not possibly look right or be full 3d.

  • Thanks my man! REALLY helpful

And i know what you mean by using Effects Labs coz u bought it hehe

Looks like Im gettin Boujou too ;-)

    C u around

  • Anytime friend, take it easy.

  • Amazing, n here i was thinkin the footage has to be HD quality for a decent motion-trackin!

720x480, sweet widescreen.. did u import it "raw" onto your PC or converted it upon import before motion trackin?

  • I kept the footage raw, to keep the quality so Boujou could track my scene better, what also helped like AK's tutorial; he states using markers to track. Which helped out alot, then after getting it tracked, I then did the 3d portion using 3ds max and rendered it in 720 480 .avi HD and then put the filters on through Effects lab, and then threw it in A:E and made the final comp

  • Maybe im jus not understanding u.. wat filters are these that AE doesnt have? im basic... 3DS to AE only,

Thanx for the info, hav u used SynthEyes maybe u can share which is better between it and Boujou?

Oh and the markers u put them on the area u replaced with the 3D model? or all over the scene??

  • Between the different filters on AE and Effects labs are absolutely nothing. I just like using Effects lab, because I bought it, and I feel I should use it so I know I didn't waste my money. So really it would've of been higher quality if I didn't render it in Effects Lab...and then another render in AE. SynthEyes I've hear and heard great things, but Boujou is more movie editor pro, 300 used Boujou for the sword stabbing, and the arrorws in bodies. So I would narrow it down to Boujou

  • ok so After effects AND effects lab??? for???

What kind of camera did u use? what resolutiion was the original footage?

  • Right to answer your question: Effects lab was for color gradient and filters. AE: was for final rendering. Camera: AG-DVX100 B Panasonic.

The resolution of the orginal footage was: 720x480.

  • high quality is waaaay better.

    very good:) 5 stars.

  • that was so realistic! what was the part you edited in? I'm serious, i couldn't tell.

  • ah,I captured my footage.. in adobe after effects. Then I imported the footage into Boujou. The Original Footage has playing cards on the ground so I could track easier, after I got my tracking data I imported into 3ds max.. and thats where the magic happens..then I rendered it.. added some filters and there you go. Thanks for the comment :)

  • so you edited in the hhole and all the chunks of rock? SWEET!

  • Yes, I made one chunk of rock.. and I used a system in 3ds max that generates off that one Modeled rock.. and creates tons and small other pieces.:D

  • awesome-o!!!!

  • playing cards? get the idea from andrew krammer by any chance? lol its very well done i have to say

  • Yes I did get the idea from video co pilot :D

  • ANDREW KRAMER FTW!!!
