I can answer the question asked by this song: It will be full of Arab terrorist's that wish to blow up innocent women & children; yeah right, "religion of peace"...
With the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaching, for some reason this is the song the keeps playing in my head. I worry so much more about all the children in the whole world.
Oh no we haven't, we've always been crap, we've just always lied to ourselves.
I like to call it the American Scheme..its one giant fcking delusion, there simply aren't enough resources or wealth to have everyone succeed in the country or the world.
And although this song is my favorite off the "Love Tracks" album, I also really like his songs "Dust for Blood" and "Blues Train" alot, too. Both great songs!

I have 3 sons under the age of 10yo and I do worry (a lot) about what life has in store for them.
Will they be able to cope?
I dont want them to be hurt by the worry and pressure of this world we are leaving to them.......

Children are the hope of joy in this world, and must be cherished. I am so proud of the people my six children have become!

The only person who could really hurt me without a second thought was my daughter.
Only love can break your heart.

It's 20 years later, Don what the world is like is basically crap. No we don't find peace, forgiveness or joy in 2009.
We are not safe or true to ourselves and the things we believe are baloney.
We have gone astray.

Every parent of a 17 year old child feels this to their very core. My own is leaving next year and it's killing me.

Take comfort in the solid fact they might be even better than you!

Did Don write this one? I know it's on "Love Tracks," and he didn't write several of the tunes on that album. Thanks!

Yes he did

He did write this. Love Tracks had a few of his own songs. "Every day is a miracle" was another one, I think.

An exquisite performance of one of Don's best songs from the 80s. Thanks so much for posting this rare gem. -SJ
