@brishtee There are different versions of Redsnow for different Apple firmwares.So if you are on 4.1 make sure that you have correct 0.9.6b6 Redsnow downloaded.

@brishtee Reboot your iPhone. Then connect to WiFi. Now open Cydia. DO NOT Touch Cydia till it load its sources completely. Let it load and let it take its time. It might ask you 'complete update' So hit complete update. Then go to 'Search' option in Cydia and type 'Ultrasn0w'. Install it. Done. You will be Fully Jailbroken and Unlocked.

@brishtee Certainly, you can simply search and Install Ultrasn0w. And to download free apps you need to add a source in Cydia "Cydia. hackulo. us" Then install 'Installous" from this source. Now you will have 'Installous' on your iPhone which will let you download all Paid Apple store apps for FREE.

I want to say to those who have a 3gs: If you're planning on installing iPad BB for 06.15.00 (or if you did it already), reflashing could be a problem. i have the currnt Redsn0w and I got the following warning after the usual one: ARE YOU SURE? the BB is not compatible with 3GS' made after week 35 (your serial should have a xx135 or greater.). @angel21073 You have 5.16.02 like me, you need to install 6.15.00 baseband when you go through redsnow, if you want to get 6.15.00 you need to click install cydia and install ipad baseband when your going through the steps.

Hi please disregard my last comment i realized that what I was missing.

the problem that I am having is that as I go through the dfu process and I am still hodling the home button as the last part of dfu the screen says " fetching baseband files" or something like that the application just closes and nothing hapens there after. I have tried to continue holding the home button but
