  • i take your are using the lee pro auto disk powder hopper, you dont need to ajust the chain??? how easy is to install the pro auto disk hopper on classic turret press??

  • @hardman476

I purchased the Pro Auto-disk measure, which was the standard at the time I made my purchase (2008?). The measure came w/ the spring installed and the chain as an accessory. Screw the measure into the charge die to setup.

I have never used one, but the chain is used on a progressive press. That arrangement ensures against a double charge. With the chain you have to work the ram up and down, which rotates the shell holder. With the spring, a short double pump will double charge.

  • Brilliant idea with the LED lights!

Great video, shows what needs to be done without talking.

    Outstanding, welldone!!

  • it seems like you are forcing it on the down stroke. you only need to go down enough to make it index after you prime. forcing it down after that can crush the primer.

  • Nice video. A 2x4 running underneath the edge of that bench would probably stiffen up the bench a lot.

  • Yes, 200 rounds per hour is realistic with a steady pace. I've seen folks say 500 on the high end, and 100 on the low end, but 150 to 200 rounds is a good pace once you're into the rhythm.

  • whats with all the wires there even a little light would have less wires?

  • good vid man.

  • good vid...I just set my classic press up and getting to reload for the first time...40SW

  • table is not strong enogh!!!

  • Looks like you need to beef up that table.

  • If you still want the light, a flex flashlight might be a good idea. I have one attached to my press to do exactly what you are doing. Works pretty well.

  • Nice Video, I like the "no talking" text. It makes it more enjoyable to watch than most. What are those wires attached to the turret for?

  • I had installed a four LEDs around the turret so that I could see into the case more easily. This was after almost loading a squib load because I forgot to turn on the powder in the powder measure. The wires are for the LED setup. I ended up taking it out because it was "messy". As shown it was running off of 2 AA batteries. I converted it to an old 11V power source with a 100 Ohm resistor to drop the voltage, and it got HOT. I didn't want HOT near powder, or my finger.
