Looks good , I usually fry the onion and garlic with the meat, just befire I finish frying the meat I add a desert spoon of tomato paste and fry that for a miniute or two. Then do the same as you. When we are away camping/ fishing we use it instead of spaggeti sauce and tip it over pasta with a bit of cheese etc its great on a cold hight.
I'm no expert cook, but I can say a tip: you GOTTA put a scoop of sour cream on top! Oh, and also, I highly recommend Velveeta cheese as from my experience that is the very best melting cheese for chili (cheeseburgers, omelets, etc are amazing with melted Velveeta as well)
