It is my understanding that most of what is reported for Gardasil are fatigue, joint pain, paralysis, heart arrhythmias, seizures, orthostatic hypotension, headaches, and dizziness. These girls aren't reporting these symptoms. I am not aware of reports where a girl began to utter words uncontrollably, although tics have rarely been reported. I do wonder if the girls who did get Gardasil are worse.

My doctor always pushes Gardasil on me, and I just keep saying no. I am not sexually active, I try to keep myself healthy, and I just don't find it necessary. The vaccine only protects you from a few strains, (just like the flu shot- and guess what? every year, a new strain/virus appears). If anyone paid attention to the ad copy on the Gardasil TV commercials, or bothered to read the print ads, instead of being captivated by the pretty pictures - you would know that the manufacturer includes a disclaimer that Gardasil is not a cure for cancer. The advertising text is replete with conditional phrases. And yes the way Gardasil was marketed was very effective in reeling in the poor victims of the gigantic pharmacetuical scam.

My last comment assumes that the vaccine was responsible for the deaths of these women. Consider the fact that millions of people take vaccines and people do unfortunately die for other reasons after taking a vaccine. It would be unfair to link what would be a statistically insignificant number of deaths following vaccination to a safe vaccine and claim the vaccine caused these deaths. If such misinformation was spread and taken seriously then it would cause far more deaths than a good vaccine.

It's very sad that people have died and totally avoidable by not taking the vaccine but there are lots of risks in life you just have to accept. @shari04 It's not, actually. Every vaccine had KNOWN side effects and rare risks. Every shot hurts, and we go to the doctor to get them KNOWING they hurt, and that they have risks.

This vaccine is no less safe than any other vaccine, and the "only 2 versions of HPV" it protects from are the main types that cause cancer that ABSOLUTELY kills so many more women. Thats the reason we accept the rare risk of vaccines, because the real risk of illness later is nearly a guarantee.
