  • @rockinfireman95 first of all asshole all depts have diff protocols. we use our ladder truck here in IN for all kinds of fires. so before you got out putting a fire dept down like you do why dont you really think what you say. and fucking jersey has there own ways of fighting a house fire, so keep ur disrespectful comments to yourself

  • Just some constructive criticism if any 36 guys see this. A lot of time was spent on tower operations for a one-story roof. A 14' roof ladder would have worked just was well and taken a fraction of the time. The two-story roof was laddered. Also, I saw a charged handline early on yet it wasn't used until the very end. With the fire seen rolling inside the enclosed wall, it might have been a better alternative than the water can.

    Overall, nice save. Could have been ugly. Good job.

  • I'm going to agree and disagree with "ehirner". I agree and dont understand why the aerial was placed in service to get to the garage roof. A ground ladder would've been quicker and just as practical (especially as the ff's exited the basket anyway). I disagree, however, on the use of the can. I'm sure the homeowner appreciated the FD's decision not to use the can thereby preventing A LOT of needless water damage. Nice stop.
